Releasing Me. This book was fantastic! After reading Holding You, the first book in the two part series, I couldn’t wait to read Releasing Me. Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. The New York Times Best Seller List is just around the corner for this new author and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a movie deal or miniseries in her future. Yes, it’s that good!

Absolutely Amazing. Jewel E. Ann does it again! Loved her first book Holding You, but she topped it with the sequel Releasing Me. Such a heartbreaking roller coaster bringing out so many ranges of emotions. Jewel does an absolutely fabulous job bringing the two book series to a close and I can't wait to read more of her future books! This book as just the perfect amount of hot sexy love scenes, humor, joy, and sadness. I definitely recommend this book to avid romance readers!

Well done!. Holding You left me holding my breath … where would Addy and Quinn's relationship go from there? I continued to hold my breath while reading Releasing Me, wow! I can finally release my breath. Oh, I loved book 1, but this, book 2 … AMAZING! Truly the best. I fell in love, I felt like my world crumbled, my world was put back together, I laughed, I cried, I felt like I was so into this book that I could imagine everything Addy was feeling. I'm sad it's over, but I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion. Well done Jewel E Ann!

Great Book! Great Series!. Boy oh boy can this author bring the angst! Big huge tidal waves of emotions here. Whoa! I loved this book. Addy and Quinn are wonderful. I absolutely loved this series!

Emotionally driven story. True survivors. Great support team.. Main character: Addy and Quinten Supporting characters: Elena, Chase, Jake, Olivia, Alexis, Mitch, Mac, Evan and Gwen. The mood for Releasing Me was somber. This one began where Holding You left off. Quinten woke up in the hospital after having surgery from the climbing accident. Addy felt guilt over his accident. While this one contained sexual situations, the story was not as sexually driven. In fact, it was emotionally driven. The supporting characters from the first book played a much bigger role in this story. This story contained journal entries written by Addy. This story included alternating POV's from both Addy and Quinn. I appreciated every tactic Jewel could concoct regarding mission to win back Quinn. I definitely felt a deeper connection with the characters this time around. Although, I must say Addy was quite the survivor. Then there were times I wondered where the feisty, fun, and sassy character went. Addy explored an array of personalities in this story. Quinn took a turn for the douchebag award. Quinn was not the Latin god we knew him to be in the first book. While on one hand Addy appeared to be strong because it was easy to confront Quinn with his indiscretions while actually she was a coward by not disclosing her own secrets. When the tables were turned Addy had to take the bull by the horns and confront her fears. Once again sex was used as a physical outlet for pain. Alcohol became a vise. Fighting and verbal abuse became a vise. Finding purpose in life became Addy's new mantra. Avoiding Quinn became necessary in surviving. Addy held onto her addiction for Quinn while Quinn took on many new addictions. Quinn was in self-pity mode and needed to self-destruct. These characters got lost along the way in life. Too many tragedies carved unexpected paths that bombarded their sense of purpose. They became overwhelmed with the pressures of life succumbing them into self denial and anger. Through it all, the solution to life's success was found in the support system of a friend, a lover, or a family member. Jewel hid many secrets in the story revealing each in a timely fashion. Never a dull moment. Equal balance of pain and pleasure. With all the circumstances that life threw at them both characters went through a range of emotions. “In our two years together, and apart, we both experienced love, pain, sorrow, compassion, honesty … but mostly, forgiveness.” This quote sums of the story quite nicely. Jewel put these characters through the ringer.

Amazing story that will stick with you. Book 2, this book wrecked me. As I imagine if you've read it you can agree. This book was where it all hit the fan, Quinn's recovery actually had my dislike for him gone and instead my full sympathies. I felt for Addy as well as she tried to keep it together and help him through his struggles. I completely understood her last straw and though I hated it, I respected her for it. Unfortunately while book 1, I was not Quinn's biggest fan the tables ended up turning during this one. At times I was slightly disappointed and annoyed with Addy. Though now after having just finished I can not tell you when these moments were, I remember not really enjoying her character during a few moments here and there. Many parts through this book scared me, I so desperately wanted that HEA and I was truly worried it wouldn't come. The journey through healing and growth all the characters went through though was just as needed for the reader as the characters themselves. The steam of this book is just as great if not better then the first book, the twists and turns certainly catch you off guard and a few break your heart even more. I was also just as hooked if not more sucked into book 2, and the ending did not disappoint. It wasn't rushed, it wasn't completely suspected, and it was perfect. Leave it to this author to wrap everything in a neat bow and complete satisfaction! Another must read!
