Gritty, disturbing, unique, occasionally cringe-worthy…but very hard to put down!. Truly bizarre and fascinating, stayed up till 3am to finish! Unique new way of spinning the vampire myth. Only complaint was the frequent errors in grammar and spelling - though that I blame on the editor. Still plan to stick with the series, have already loaded book 2. Can’t wait till my next free evening.
Unexpected and fast-paced. I loved this book. The author is clearly a very disturbed person and I mean that as a compliment- this book was unrelentingly dark and gory but it had a sense of humor and wit that made it impossible to put down. If you like Anne Rice’s books, you will like this writing style.
