Interesting story. This is a typical story with misunderstandings and learning about self and others. I had a difficult time appreciating the lead female character.

Date and Dash. Wasn’t sure about this story for the first couple of chapters but once I got really into it I absolutely loved it.

Ordinary. While the premise was unique - a woman accidentally bidding on a date for a TV series - I found it frustrating, like watching a rock slowly roll down a hill and gaining momentum. Mary Ann is a heroine who lacks maturity, dedication and integrity and who I can’t help but think to Trevor “No! Stay away from her! She lacks dedication in her rent, finances, sibling relationship, schooling and she can’t even stick with cutting up an onion. She won’t stick with you! This is a divorce in the making. You have nothing in common with her other than sitting in the same spot in a coffee shop”. But I can’t. So… frustrating. And not funny, despite the effort to be…maybe that’s the Type A in me. It was difficult for me to keep on from that, but I’m glad I did. The story picked up half-way through the book, Mary Ann developed as a person and it turns out they have more in common than initially apparent. The writing was ordinary - nothing great but no glaring errors to take away from the writing. If you are looking for a quick read romance with a HEA, this is it.

Yes. I love the way Susan Hatler writes. Her plots are current and original, and are relevant to the character traits of her hero and heroine, who, with their flaws and scars, are able to find and cherish true love.
