The Vagrant by Peter Newman Book Summary
The Vagrant is his name. He has no other.
Years have passed since humanity’s destruction emerged from the Breach.
Friendless and alone he walks across a desolate, war-torn landscape.
As each day passes the world tumbles further into depravity, bent and twisted by the new order, corrupted by the Usurper, the enemy, and his infernal horde.
His purpose is to reach the Shining City, last bastion of the human race, and deliver the only weapon that may make a difference in the ongoing war.
What little hope remains is dying. Abandoned by its leader, The Seven, and its heroes, The Seraph Knights, the last defences of a once great civilisation are crumbling into dust.
But the Shining City is far away and the world is a very dangerous place.

About the author
PETER NEWMAN is the author of the critically acclaimed, award-winning Vagrant Trilogy: The Vagrant, The Malice, The Seven. He sometimes pretends to be a butler for the Tea and Jeopardy podcast, which he co-writes and for which he won a Hugo Award in 2017. His first book, The Vagrant, won the David Gemmell Morningstar Award in 2016 for best Fantasy Debut of the Year. Peter writes for George R.R. Martin’s Wild Cards series and will first appear in Knaves Over Queens. He has also written for the computer game Albion Online. He lives in Somerset.

Vagrant. The writer has a unique style & this world is an odd one. I'd suggest downloading the sample to this book to see if you like either. I found it too odd to read it all.
Great Sci-FI fantasy. I loved this series. It was odd at times but everything really comes together and leaves you with an unforgettable journey.
Finished in a week. I was immediately pulled in by Peter Newman’s writing style. The book had me yearning for more twists and bumps in during the journey and reading the timeline with alongside the main story fulfilled questions and sucked me in deeper. I would recommend this to a friend.
horrible. this authors writing style is not my style to read. i don’t know how other people give such a favorable rating!!! the author dribbles on and tries to use big words. terrible. just terrible. here is a sample of me writing in the same style: there is a man known only as the man and he walks. he doesn’t talk. he keeps walking and then there is more silence as he walks. things happen around him but still he walks. just terrible. no depth, no character development, just dribble. and there is a whole series like this? i should be published by now haha!!! i cannot even finish half of the first book- waste of $10 usd
