The hangman's sonnet. Not quite what I have come to expect from a Jesse Stone novel. I am disappointed also that Gino Fish has been eliminated. He was a really great character creation. I will continue to follow the series and hope for some of the "old Jesse".

Hangman’s Sonnet. Good poetry. The story...not so much.
What trash!. Ace Atkins is no Robert B. Parker, but at least he has a clue and isn't a terrible writer. Where did they come up with Reed Farrel Coleman? The guy can barely string a sentence together, has no clue how to develop a plot, gets bogged down in nonsense and is completely ignorant of the Jesse Stone character. Nary a sentence goes by, without mentioning Jesse's previous life as an alcoholic. Jeez Reed, we all know that already. Please, don't waste your time and money, by downloading this book. You'll only be disappointed by Coleman's attempt at being an author ... it was an abject failure.
The Hangman. This is not the Jesse Stone character I know. But imperfect is better than the series just stopping I hope the next book is more like Robert B. Parker's original character.
