Up Shute Creek. I just finished this book and I have to say I am an emotional mess. I was drawn in and have loved each book. I can’t put them down and have read straight through to this one. Gosh, this one has made me the most emotional. I don’t want to give away anything but that ending... my heart feels ripped from my chest. Especially after the bonus material of Violets conversation with SM. Ughhhh. I can’t praise this series enough. I’m definitely a fan for life and can’t wait for Roses next installment. Until then I’ll move on to Nealy Kate’s Dirty Money.

DGS Takes Readers’ Emotions on a Rollercoaster!. As an avid reader of everything Rose and NK, I feel like they’re my own personal friends. I’m always cheering for them and for how I want their lives to turn out—including love interests. I won’t give any spoilers, but I’ll just say that Up Shute Creek took me on quite an emotional ride and left me hanging upside down at the edge of the biggest hill! I can’t wait for more!

An Amazing Ride. DGS knocked it out of the park again with this book! The perfect ride of entertainment and emotions. With every book I love the characters and their stories even more!

I need more!. Denise Grover Swank knocked it out of the park....again! Up Shute Creek takes you on a wild emotional journey. I fell out of love and then back in love with some of the characters in this book. My heart broke several times but was quickly mended by Neely Kate and Rose’s shenanigans. By far one of my favorite Rose books.... even if I need some nervous medicine waiting on the next.

Best one yet (until the next). Another amazing book by DGS! From beginning to end, I couldn’t put it down. Always love to read what new mystery/problem Rose and NK are trying to solve or get themselves out of.

One of the best yet!. This latest installment in the series blew my mind. Everything I hoped for Rose is coming to pass but at what cost? Neely Kate and Jed just may find their HEA finally. Joe is slowly but surely becoming the man we all knew he had it in him to be. Excellent writing and another amazing story by Denise Grover Swank.

Up Shute creek. As always this is my favorite series. Loved that Rose Gardner has grown so much as a good person. Wish the books came faster. She and James have such a sad love story. Looking forward to the next book. Love your books.

Wonderful. I don’t know how she does it over and over. A lot of authors who turn out multiple books, you can tell they are just filling space. Denise’s books are top shelf, full #100 EVERY SINGLE BOOK. Every single one has a complex plot that literally makes me bite my nails off, and I haven’t been a nail biter since junior high. Sooooo goood!!!

Don’t bother. I couldn’t get past the first chapter. Every page, when it wasn’t a descriptive sex narrative, introduced yet a new character, sometimes four new characters in one sentence. Too many characters, too much nipple kissing.

Amazing. Denise Grover Swank never ceases to disappoint! This book is amazing and reminds me a lot of the earlier books. Rose and James’s relationship leaves readers hopeful for the future. Neely Kate shares her dark past with Rose. Rose is learning that she no longer can separate herself with lady and she is thinking about that in every decision she makes and it honestly makes her stronger than ever. I love the person that Violet has turned into be. And I have fell in love with Joe in this book, he has turned into the Joe McAllister we fell in love with in the beginning! All in all this book is a great read as is the whole Rose Gardner series!! Definitely did not disappoint!!

Another amazing book!. Denise’s books always leave me wanting more and “Up Shute Creek” was no exception. It was funny, spicy and sad. Emotions all over the place. I don’t know how she does it but each book is better than the last. Another great addition to one of my favorite series. And that ending?!? Can’t wait for the next book!

Wow. This book is my favorite dgs book yet. I’m worried it marks the beginning of the end for the series, however it’s totally worth it.

Best one yet. I have read this series from the very first Rose Gardner book and this was the best one yet. I can’t wait for the next one and now understand why we had to wait so long between books.

Here We Go Again!. Rose and Neely Kate do not disappoint! Try as I might to stretch these books out, by the end I am loosing sleep because I simply cannot put the book down! The twists and turns this book took were amazing and I cannot wait for the next installment of shenanigans for these ladies!

Amazing writer. The books about Rose and Neely Kate keep you on the edge of you seat. When you come to the end, you feel empty and wanting more. Denise is an amazing author. You really feel like the characters are your personal friends. Looking forward to Dirty Money.

Amazing as per usual. Denise has done it again and Up Shute Creek is another terrific addition to the Rose Gardner series. We begin the book with the introduction of Rose’s newest “stray” Carly. (Okay, we actually begin with some Rose and James and uh, yum, but the mystery plot begins with the introduction of Carly.) I really enjoy her character and think she’s a great addition. I like that we have two mysteries going between Carly’s appearance and Rose/NK’s latest PI case involving a missing woman. The plots progress well with lots of twists and I look forward to seeing where some of those twists take us in the future. Mystery plots aside, I don’t know if I can even properly articulate my emotions throughout the book. They were all over the place, which is a sign of a great book to me! We finally get to see NK and Rose have a big conversation they’ve needed to have. We are gifted with more NK and Jed being the absolute most adorable couple ever. Joe turns a huge leaf between NK’s previous novel In High Cotton and this book and I’m straight loving him now. Violet has won me back over as well and I’m both looking forward to and not looking forward to seeing her storyline progress. And then there’s James. Sigh. I allllmost wrote him off in this book and he made me scream out loud in anger at him multiple times, but ultimately I’ll love him forever. Finally, Denise goes and leaves us with a 4500 ft drop of a cliffhanger that left me in actual tears and feeling heart broken, yet hopeful. I’m dying for more. Needless to say, I highly recommend Up Shute Creek, as well as all of Rose’s books.

Amazing as always!. Denise Grover Swank never disappoints! I could not put this book down! So well written, with great twists and turns. I even fell in love with some characters all over again...I didn’t want it to end!!!

Another wild ride!. Denise has done it again! Every book she writes in this series becomes my favorite by the time I finish. This one is no exception! Its an 'OMG!!!' Story with lots of twists and turns, a little romance, and a whole lot of fun and friendship. A must read!

As always. As always I’m completely in love with this book. Swank knows how to deliver just the goods I need! There is mystery, romance, humor and love mixed with southern charm. I’ll be bouncin’ on my toes until the next Rose Gardener mystery appears to satisfy my cravings! Hopefully with a steaming cup of James Malcom to keep me warm ;)

Up shute creek. I am crying because I’m so sad I finished the book so quickly. I loved this book!! I can not emphasize this enough. The characters and how I can see them in my head is incredible because Denise Grover Swank has a way of describing actions and emotions so that I feel so connected. I love these characters and all they go through. I love how strong and amazing rose and Neely kate are and I am obsessed with James and Jed. Another hit! Please keep it up Denise Grover Swank! You’re amazing!!

Love Rose and a her friends. I love Denise Grover Swank’s Rose Gardner series. This is no exception. She creates wonderful characters and exciting story plots. I totally recommend this book and the entire series. Also the Nellie Kate series. Do check the reading order because these books are a series.

Seriously amazing. Seriously amazing book

Couldn’t put them down!. I happened to stumble upon these series about a year ago and I have devoured every book and have preordered and counted down the days until the next one came out. These are BY FAR the best, most intriguing, leave you wanting more series (or book in general) I have ever read! I just couldn’t put them down! And y’all, I don’t usually even enjoy reading. But these had me up into the wee hours of the night just trying to get to the next chapter! Start from the very beginning 28 and a half reasons why and you won’t regret it!

Great book!. This is another great book by Denise Grover Swank. I read the book in 3 days. I can hardly wait for the next book to come out.

My favorite author of all time... ..and trust me I’ve read a crap load of books over the years. All the others begin to bore me to death and usually I won’t even finish the series itself. But with the Rose Gardner books, I cannot get enough. I’m literally saddened when I finish a book and overjoyed when a new one finally comes out. Best believe I pre-order her books every time and keep track of the dates up until they are released. I will admit I was VERY upset having to wait for the last two due to postponing but I seemed to have forgotten that the author behind these amazing books might have something else incredibly more important. I’m a total a-hole for that one and feel awful for being impatient. So to my favorite author if you happen to read this- Your daughter and your own health are far more important. I’m happy to hear that you are doing better and that you felt compelled to share your outside life with us which you didn't have to do. No matter how long it takes, I will wait for your books. I’ve never loved reading something so much and I appreciate all the hard work you do. 😘

Rose super fan!. I’ve been on the Rose bandwagon for quite some time. I’ve read every book over and over and there hasn’t been a single one to disappoint me yet. The rollercoaster that we go on during every book keeps me coming back for more!! I love every bit of chaos that Rose and NK bring our way. 10/10 recommend!!!

Up Shute Creek. As usual, I have to wait for the next book to find out if James and Rose have a future! I love Denise’s writing and haven’t read a book I didn’t love!

Cannot be faulted, absolutely amazing. Best book I’ve ever read. I can’t begin to describe how amazing this book is. I’ve been reading these series since 2015 ish time and I’ve always be so addicted to them (so far to the extent I would read them over my homework!) I can honestly say this is the best book I have ever read. The constant keeping you on the edge of you seat and surprise after surprise, making you need to turn the page. I love how this book did everything I wanted it to rose became on such good terms with joe and mason again and I thought that was so special, and how you had so many events going on at once: her love life, the missing person, Carly, her dying sister, everything with neely Kate, making up with ex’s. It just could not be faulted. I honestly love your writing as an author, I’ve never got into a series so much to make me count down the days to a release, and I Thankyou for that. You are honestly amazing and I will have these books with me for the rest of my life.

Amazing. I’ve loved every single book of DGS, Rose Gardener is a character that’s stuck in my heart and head from page 1 of twenty-eight and a half wishes. Absolutely Brilliant. I feel like I’ve been shoved through an emotional wringer talk about fast paced and action packed not to mention just a bit of drama lol ok so it’s a Rose book there was a hell of a lot of drama omg what a freaking awesome story. This mystery backed up in high cotton so well and as always there is never a dull moment in Henrietta for a small town it’s jam packed with wonderful, lovable and downright scary characters.

Amazing!. As usual, there were many twists and turns in the plot and it made for a nail biting read!! I’m loving the character development, especially for Joe and Violet. That cliffhanger ending was epic! Can’t wait for the next instalment.
