My Expectations Were Low But.... I was pleasantly surprised. The friends to lovers trope was well done. I didn’t expect the story or Dot and Felix’s relationship to take shape in the ways they did. Platt does a great job rounding out the story and bringing everything full circle. Although I felt some parts were unnecessarily drawn out and some of Dot’s actions were rather immature for a 36-year-old, overall, I’m glad I took a chance on this one. You’ll be rooting for Dot and Felix the entire time.

Fun Read, A Bit Long Winded. 3.5 stars Fun & engaging characters except male lead a bit under-developed. Liked the book but like main character’s behavior, story dragged on just a bit too long.

Well done. This charming novel should be a movie. Well created characters, great writing (sometimes laugh out loud-able) and hard to put down. Loved it!!

Only Finishing it because I started. Honestly, this book wasn’t great. I’ve read worse but it still falls short. I’m not done yet but at this point (68% in) I’m trying to figure what the character wants. The character development of Felix falls short. 68% in and I feel like the only thing I know about him is that he used to be fat with curly hair and now he’s handsome, an accountant and was recently dumped. Dot spends (as of right now) a total of 3 times with him. I know more about Dot’s business partner, her parents, and her sisters than I do Felix. I feel like most of the book is Dot being in her head having monologues versus real interactions. I don’t hate her as a character though. I don’t feel like I’m reading a story but more like a person pulled together a bunch of words of a page. I personally wouldn’t recommend it.

A slow build up but quite heartwarming. This book has a pretty slow build up and got me wondering if anything exciting was ever going to happen for a while. But I couldn’t put it down, and left me feeling all warm and fuzzy at the end of it. Humor here is different from others too; I enjoyed it a lot. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to read something clean and with relatable characters!

Great read!. This wonderful story had me muffling laughter all night long so as not to wake the household.

So boring..... Felix isn’t likable. Couldn’t even finish the book and I’m half way. So disappointed.

Finding Felix. Oh my goodness, what a good book ! First time reading this author and I will definitely be looking for more. Loved the characters, ALL of them. Did not want their story to end when it did, but GOOD things always do, sadly. Thanks so much Ms. Platt !
