A Fun Read. I enjoyed the movie very much and read the book to see how close it was to the movie. Well, it is quite a different story, but also a very enjoyable and well told story. It is clear that Mr. Mayle enjoys his profession.
Not a Good Year. Big disappointment. The story line varies greatly from the movie and does not deliver on romance or mystery. The relationships and back stories are thin and don’t develop the reader’s empathy with the characters. Food becomes the pivotal player.
