At Last.... Ania Ahlborn is not only a phenomenal author of what is considered, a genre hard to tackle with seriousness or originality, but she is also one of the first female authors to do so as proliferate as Stephen King (at his pace, she still has years). She is definitely not the first female horror/psycho thriller author, but may well be on her way to one of the greatest. Of any gender... Isolated, at home with COVID-19, her books (this being the 4th I’ve finished in a week), have been my saving grace. She allowed me to escape the walls of my monotony and travel to other geographical locations on our beautiful continent, as well as, the dark recesses of the human mind with all its possibilities. Thank you, Ania, and please keep writing!!!

Creepy and Twisted. As a horror fan it's hard to find a good story that doesn't end badly. I enjoyed this one. Will be reading more of this author soon!

Fine until the epilogue. No issue with the story itself. The writing has some bits of true inspiration shining through. But for me the entire ending was ruined by epilogue. SPOILER ALERT! I can get over perhaps the aunt being in denial that she was brutally attacked by her son. But I can’t get over Stevie being institutionalized for his cousin’s death despite his entire family being a witness to his cousin brutally attacking his mom AND THEN DEGLOVING HIS FINGERS WITH HIS TEETH. I mean, come on! I get that the point was that Stevie should have been a hero but things don’t always work out that way and she set it up by having the mom think he was crazy, BUT SHE WITNESSED HER SO. GETTING ATTACKED! If nothing else, was he supposed to have devolved his own fingers???? Ugh!

Great read. Had trouble putting this one down.
