Love this world!. One of my favorite trilogies ever has been the Just an Illusion books. Those books have gutted me in the best way. Interlude gives us a look at Jordan who is Sawyer and Noah's cousin and has been through a tragic past. Allie comes into his life and he doesn't know what hits him. She turns his life inside out and makes him really have to make some life decisions. I loved these two together. The story was hot and yet so real as they both struggle through relationship issues and finding their path together. I love the characters in this world and I was so back to go back to it, even if it was only for a little while. Great read!

Loved it! Emotional and touching!. I feel like I have been waiting for Jordan Weston’s story for such a long time! And we finally get it in Interlude by D. Kelly. We first met Jordan in the Illusion series, as he is Noah and Sawyer’s troubled cousin. This can be read as a standalone, however, the Illusion series is amazing and is a must-read! I loved every minute of it! Jordan history weighs on him. He was the only survivor when his entire family was murdered when he was young. This has left a mark on his life and how he lives it, but how could it not. He has his bar and his family and that is enough for now. Allie Baker is new to the bar and loves her job, but there is something about Jordan, even as he tries to keep at arm’s length. So begins their push and pull with some sexy chemistry. I may be a bit bias, but I am a huge fan of D. Kelly and her Illusion series. I love the characters and their stories so much. I cannot recommend them high enough and Jordan’s story continues that love. I wanted his HEA from the very first time I met him. Interlude delivers that and so much more. It was not always an easy journey, but it was one I devoured from start to finish! And now I sit here and so not patiently wait for Darren’s story. I know that one will be a kicker! Great Addition to the Illusion series!. I’ve been anxiously awaiting Jordan’s story. I knew it would be a good one. Jordan Weston has been through a lot in his life. His family is famous, but he prefers to stay in the background. He runs his own bar, called Just an Illusion. He hires a woman named Allie, who is running from her past. The two of them hit it off pretty quickly, but both have reasons they can’t get involved. I loved seeing Jordan’s prospective on events that transpired in the previous books. His friendship with Allie was great to watch develop. I enjoyed seeing Allie stand on her and not let her father dictate her life. I have honestly enjoyed the entire Illusion series and I’m looking forward to the next one.

D Kelly has done it again!. D. Kelly has done it again! Interlude was so beautifully written. Each story she writes brings you even closer to this family and to these characters. Jordan and Allie have such a strong connection and the chemistry between them is out of this world. I absolutely loved this book. I have loved every book in The Illusion series. I’ve yet to be let down! Such a great story!

Interlude. Hauntingly Beautiful yet still a sad but heartwarming story as the tragedies of the illusion Series are told through Jordan’s Perspective. Not what I expected but so much more prepare to fall in love with Allie and Jordan. Jordan is sexy, deeply rooted and captivatingly handsome rocker. An individual who has suffered so my devastating loses in life you can’t believe he is who he is. Allie a beautiful young women who is equally scarred trying to escape her past and start over. Allie has such a capacity to empathize because of her own loses. The two meet after Jordan hires her as a waitress based his best friends Sasha recommendation. The chemistry is immediate. The spark between these two is undeniable and so irresistible. Jordan is attractive to her immediately and tells her that they will have no problems as long as she is honest with him. Allie is honest with him from the get go when she admits she heard him with Tyler in his office. This is the story of how fate, trust, family and love can help you survive the worst and be the best. More than a five star read one you will read again and again as the unforgettable Illusion Series lives on through Jordan’s story. Dee Kelly continues to bring these characters to life leaving you wanting more can’t wait for Darren’s and Eli’s storylines.

Great addition to the Illusion series. If you haven’t read the Illusion series yet, I highly recommend reading it first. Especially if you don’t want any spoilers. With Jordan’s story, we are taken on another emotional journey. This book takes place along the same timeline as the Illusion series. I loved getting Jordan’s full story. He and Allie have great chemistry. They both have a lot of obstacles to overcome and I loved seeing the evolution of not only their relationship, but them as well.

A Must Read. Interlude does not disappoint!! It was an absolutely wonderful read with great characters that will have you smiling one minute and crying the next. This story gives you all the FEELS. I loved Jordan and Allie together and enjoyed their back and forth banter. They were perfect for each other. This story is one of family and friendships, loss, survival, strength, fate, happiness, laughs and love. It's a story worth reading. I loved it!!!

Not just an Interlude!. While this can be read as a stand-alone, why would you when you could read the fabulous Illusion Series for a much greater experience. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know J in his own environment (owner of the Just an Illusion bar) and seeing his relationship with the Weston family, from a closer perspective. Allie has been briefly introduced to us in other books and we know she is important to J or the family wouldn’t have met her. However, we don’t know in what capacity then but in Interlude, it soon becomes clear that Allie is an integral part of J’s bar and more importantly his heart. The only question being, can J overcome the emotional barriers he’s erected, after the tragic loss of his childhood. If I had never read the Illusion Series, I may have rated this book a 5 but given my high expectations of D Kelly’s books, I’ve given a solid 4 stars to Interlude. That may be unfair, because the emotional journey we take in the Illusion Series is over 3 books and is possibly unattainable in one. Perhaps I just missed the musical aspect. Having said that, I thoroughly recommend reading Interlude and I’m so looking forward to Darren and Eli’s stories.

Words can’t do this book justice. I finished this book about a week ago and it’s taken me this long to put pen to paper and even now I’m not sure I can do this story justice. Jordan Weston’s story is a beautifully written emotional read that’s full of love and turmoil something I guess I should have expected given that he is Noah and Sawyer’s troubled cousin who we first meet back in the Illusion series. This book can be read as a stand-alone but I feel you would get so much more out of it if you take the time to read the amazing Illusion Series first. Jordan was the only survivor when his family were murdered when he was a child and as you would expect that lead to a troubled life but he has learned to be happy with what he has in life and that’s his extended family through the Weston’s and his bar. Allie has just started working for him and she is loving her job at the bar so even though she is attracted to Jordan she is determined to keep her distance she is not prepared to risk her job for a night of passion........ Words can not describe how much I love the characters from the Illusion Series, I love the plots, I love the chemistry and loyalty as well as the friendships that have formed throughout the books. This story like all the others captivated me from the first page to the very last line, I cried I smiled and I wished and hoped for the HEA Jordan rightly deserved. A brilliant read for lovers of the Illusion Series as well as newbies to the trails and tribulations of the Weston family and their friends. What next from the very talented D.Kelly I guess we wait with baited breath.

Such an absolutely wonderful book!!. I'm not sure what I write will do Jordan's story justice. What a heartwrenching but also beautiful book this is. So much love So much turmoil Family that really matters and Jordan has such a huge heart. I absolutely loved Jordan, his family, his friends and just the way he was with them all. He loves wholeheartedly, intensely and his emotions are sometimes a bit up there...but that man has such a wonderful caring soul. I especially love how Allie came into his life. Having left her home to escape....she couldn't have landed in a better place. I'm not sure if I can describe in words how wonderful this book was. You can tell the author wrote it with her heart and soul and the whole storyline blew me away. This was such an amazing addition to a brilliant series. I literally am so excited for more.
