His & Hers Book Reviews
His & Hers by Alice Feeney Book Summary
FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF Sometimes I Lie
“Stunning. Addictive. This book should not be missed!” —Samantha Downing
“Deliciously dark…will have readers tearing through the pages.” —Mary Kubica
“Gives Gone Girl a run for its money…I couldn’t stop reading.” —Christina Dalcher
There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying.
When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.
Someone isn’t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.
His & Hers is a twisty, smart, psychological thriller. A gripping tale of suspense, told by expertly-drawn narrators that will keep readers guessing until the very end.
“For the ultimate rollercoaster reading experience this year, look no further than His & Hers by Alice Feeney.” —Woman & Home

Great until the end. I really enjoyed this book and was guessing and trying to figure things out the whole time. It was great until the big reveal when I felt it didn’t make sense and most all credibility
Suspenseful with lots of detail. This book had me guessing until the very end and had a great closing. Very descriptive that I could hear and smell how Alice described the woods
Thoroughly enjoyable. Suspenseful and sometimes brutal, this is not for the faint of heart. Feeney pulls no punches and expertly creates doubt and misdirection leading to the ultimate twist.
Pretty great, except…. This book was a good read, good writing style, interesting characters. I kept changing my mind about who was guilty, which made it a lot of fun to read. My only problem was with the end. Once you realize who ACTUALLY dunnit, it’s quite the surprise…and way, way too hard to believe. Just not realistic at all, sorry. But if that isn’t a big deal to you, then I’d recommend this book.
Hard pass. The plot is simply too unrealistic to be an enjoyable read. One must totally suspend reality and accept about 1000 coincidences. The characters are all self centered and unlikeable. There was no one to root for in this novel. And the theme of “they were mean to me in high school “ is tired. All that makes this a meh book. Pass on it.
horrible. nothing about this book made sense - from the absence of logical detective work to the ‘twist’. don’t waste your time.
Couldn’t put it down. Keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Well done!!! When is her next book?!
Must read. A gripping page Turner with a surprise killer.
