Fatal Obsession by J.M. Thompson Book Summary

Mekedo came into the country seeking to improve her life. However, she landed in a labour agency which happened to be trading in human trafficking. the owner of the agency fancied her as a woman and he decided to move her to another safe house. There she would be under Jody's supervision. Jody herself was a bit of a nutcase using men and women as guinea pigs to perfect her aphrodisiac concoction. Mekedo and the rest of the women had no idea what was happening to their bodies.
Sam and four of his friends came through the same channels but after maiming the boss. They escaped from the farm. Fortunately, when they arrived at the big city, along with two other women they found a place to stay. within a short space of time but Sam and Michael found employment for some reason, their employer fancied both men but for different qualities each man possessed.
in due course, the woman claimed Sam was the father of her unborn baby. At the time none was aware that Sam could not father a child, he was therefore beyond himself with excitement of being a father for the first time.
His live-in lover, Mekedo became obsessed with the idea of becoming pregnant for the sake of keeping Sam hoping to become his wife sometime in the future. She became involved with shady figures despite all warnings from her friends. some of her friends thought she was being reckless by running around with mobsters.
Sam found out about her behaviour but he never confronted her. All he did was to break the men's hands and ankles leaving them crippled. no law enforcement could link him to the crimes of passion. He had friends in high places making him almost untouchable. he became involved in the politics of the country even though he was not born in the country trying to fix things for everyone.
His brother Joseph got married to a wealthy older woman who introduced him to some underground characters. Joseph was cunning and soon he was running the entire outfit he amassed plenty of money-owning factories which were listed on the stock exchange. Anyone that tried funny tricks on Sam and Mekedo met with thunderous storms never to wake up again.
