Complex and beautiful. Liza’s story is the start of a complex trilogy featuring hidden islands, true love and, or course, dragons. The intrigue keeps it interesting; on top of the expected love story, there’s royal intrigue and familial upset. I’m hooked - I can’t wait to read to read Cherry, the next book in the series!
First book in a trilogy. I enjoy Ms. Munro’s stories but this one was in a class of its own. The mythology surrounding the dragons, the setting, the plot and, most particularly, the dragon part of Leo was detailed and filled with subtle nuance. “Gwenyth”/Liza was such a contrast: strong, independent and yet vulnerable and caring at the same time. I loved this story and am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
