Not his best. Contrived, derivative and somewhat boring.

Very average. Nothing drew me in.. Not the best in this series. Nothing interesting or exciting.

Dream Town. Not one of his better books. Decent but not especially exciting story.

Dream Town. Great storytelling. The complex plot and the often surprising relationships among the characters held my interest until the very end.

Loved it!. Absolutely superb. Already looking forward to the next one!

Disappointing. Rather a complicated story that was hard to follow especially the characters. Had to keep a character list to refer back to. Over all rather disappointing and boring.

Too many characters. I finally had to write them all down! Very difficult to follow but a good, albeit complex story.

Lots of twists and Turns. This story is a lot like life. It moves fast and everything does not turn out as planned by the reader!

Archer Fan. Simply awesome!

Archer!. Great characters, great story. I’m starting to really like Archer as he heads into the 60’s. Another great book by my favorite, David!

Really, Balducci!. Too many characters to keep up with. Multiple plots! Tiresome descriptions of ‘things!’ Archer & Liberty are the only redeeming characters. Save your money for the next novel!

Sam Spade with a fresh twist. I love the Archer character, but the little detailed descriptions sewn throughout the story take you to the time and place and you see and smell

Awesome as usual. Great story, but pay attention. Lots of movement.

A new Archer evolves in front of your eyes.. Author researches everything (In and Out burgers weren’t really in existence quite yet) before the story is delivered and then delivers it with precision. Relationships are the basis for the story which is unusual in a “detective” book. Unlike other “heroes” Archer is learning, growing and hopefully has a long distinguished career.

Least favorite of his. Decent story, but the details were too much, took forever to read this one.

Great read. Balducci hits this one out of the ballpark! Plenty of twists and turns in this to keep the reader interested. I personally found this a very easy read, but also entertaining.

Non stop reading. This character, Archer, is a keeper! More please. Loved the era, the characters + the plot!

Dream Town … the best Archer to date. Baldacchi’s best to date. Great who dun it. The arrival of a new love interest for main character is elegantly done! More please….

Tedious at times. Otherwise ok

Not great. It was ok

Love Archer.. Love the description of LA in the 40’s. Just spent time driving many of these LA streets! Love Archer and His Honor.

Fine book. A spellbinding book.

Great stuff. Baldacci shows why he is a master

Excellent book. Excellent book

Dream Town. Enjoyed the second book in the series. Great characters and story line. Another hit.

It was okay. Not a page turner but I didn’t feel cheated by buying it

Dream town. Way too many characters. Hard to keep up with who was who. Too long!

To many characters. Should have had a index with who all the players were. To a very long time to get into the story, but it was a pretty good read.

Dream Town. This book is very atmospheric and kept my interest. It made me remember an LA long gone. The characters are cleverly drawn. The plot is a bit convoluted and improbable. I enjoyed it nevertheless and eagerly await the next in this series.

Excellent read. David Baldacci tells excellent stories with lots of twists. A bit hard to keep some of the extraneous characters straight, but he makes Archer’s character realistic and likeable.

Always a page turner. Loved the story

I really like the character. Really like Archer but this story seemed too convoluted at times.

Baldacci Channels Chandler … Superbly!. Aloysius Archer and Phillip Marlowe have a lot in common but Baldacci won this round. Interesting and compelling characters, snappy dialog, and a very interesting plot with some unexpected twists and turns. Archer is both more likeable than Marlowe and better off when things get physical! And Baldacci seems to be having a lot of fun with the characters he’s created here. All in all, a great airplane/vacation read destined to produce many new adventures for Archer.

Maze. There was a maze of characters that sometimes became confusing.

Dream Town. Outstanding

Great 3rd book in series. David Baldacci is one of the writers that you know as soon as you sit down, you are in it for the long haul. His books are unputdownable and this book is no different. This is book 3 in the Archer Series. It can easily be read as a stand alone but reading them all is well worth the time. Archer is a PI in Los Angeles. It’s the start of 1954 and the city of angels is off to a rough start. There is mystery and intrigue through the entire read. Definitely another hit for David Baldacci. Thank you to #netgalley and #grandcentralpublishing for allowing me the opportunity to read the eARC. All opinions expressed above are my own.
