Lightning. I loved this book! I couldn't put it down! If you like Dean Koontz this is one of his classics, right up there with Sole Survivor and my all time favorite The Watchers. A must read for any true mystery lover!

Addicted. This was the first Dean Koontz book I read...many years ago...and I have been addicted to his work ever since. It is still my favorite and I will read it again!

My first Koontz book!. This book was the first book I had ever read by Dean Koontz. And 20yrs later it is still one of my all time favorites!

Thrilling, Edge-of-the-seat Amazing. This was the first Dean Koontz book I encountered. I read the entire book in one sitting on a rainy weekend when my wife was in Chicago on a business trip. She bought the book to keep me company in the wee hours of the night, knowing that I would miss her company as always. The book is a thrill ride a minute, and the characters are believable; pulling the reader directly into the story. It is extremely well written with superb attention to detail giving the reader a true rendering of the visionary science fiction tale. I would love to give a synopsis of the story, but I refuse to ruin it for anyone who has not read this book. Well, I will end with this fact. After finishing the book, I drove down to a major bookstore the following morning and purchased several other Koontz books, read them all since that time, and I can honestly say that I am definitely a fan of Koontz writings. Keep up the amazing work Mr. Koontz, we need authors such as yourself to help take us away from the routines of daily life in the grind. Cheers!

Lightning. DK’s work stands the test of time. I read this book decades ago and it is still mesmerizing as I finish it again in 2020. No other author creates such chilling atmospheres. It’s like the age old question...Beatles or Stones. Koontz or King. Also highly recommend the Frankenstein series.

Great book!. This book is great! I loved reading it. Very suspenseful and satisfying. I love the characters. But there are a few typos!

A must read. DK is my favorite author and I've read a ton of his books. Lightning is in the top 3 of my favorites.

Lightning. By far this authors BEST novel. I read this book 20 years ago and still recap many aspects of the novel from time to time. The characters have depth, and the story is intriguing. I just pray that it remains out the hands of a hollywood script writer.

Not disappointed !!!!! Another great read!. My first koontz novel was The watchers which had been the first book I've read in over 5 years! Ok maybe even longer than that but what I'm saying is his style of writing has got me into reading again and lighting kept me interested just as much as watchers. Very happy with the book and I hope my next koontz will be as good as these two.

Lightning. An amazing incorporation of humor, drama, and Koontz's unique talent for intricately unravelling delicious plots and even more delicious characters. I don't think I could have loved this book more. The note from Koontz at the end was also inspiring to me as a young author and I look forward to attempting to follow in his novelist's footsteps. If he ever were to read this, thank you, Mr. Koontz, for inspiring me and for writing such wonderful material.

Pretty good. Different. Good read. A little far fetched but still thought provoking. Might make a cool movie if directed and cast appropriately.

Lightning. This is a Great Book with tremendous character, great plot and suspense. Destined to be one of the Great Classics of all time. It contains all of the components that any reader would require and told in such a way that makes sense and keeps the reader interested in continuing to read. A job well done.

I love this book!. I read the hard cover years ago and never forgot it, it is a fascinating read. I always wanted to read it again and just finished the iBook. It was just as good as I remembered.

Lightening by Dean Koontz. Thru the years, I have purchased (and loaned) this book several times and have never had a copy returned! It is just toooo great to not keep! My 2nd fav. book of his. Mr. Koontz's use of the English language is always intriguing & well-structured. He's my favorite author; not because of the genre, but because of his talent & heart with storytelling.

One of Koontz's Best. This is my favorite Koontz books! Try House Of Thunder for a similar feeling book if you get a chance. My wife also really enjoyed Lightning as well. She's just now starting the Frankenstein series now.

Lightning in a bottle!. Like reading horror novels? Like reading mysteries? Don’t ignore all of the customer reviews from people saying they love this book. They know what they’re talking about! When it comes to horror tales and mysteries, Dean Koontz writes in both genres and, as a fan, I can promise you that he is INCREDIBLE at it! This book is a thriller, not a horror novel. Unlike some of the others, it’s also not the first book I read by Koontz; I read lots of others before I found this one. Still, any and all readers who call this one of his best are not wrong. This romantic suspense story/sci-fi thriller/chase thriller is fantastic! Considering that Koontz always seems to me to be an author who loves to scare readers even as he entertains and uplifts by showing us the best side of human nature, this book features one of his most diabolical concepts as a writer of any kind of scary book! Ditto for the villains! Once you find out exactly who they are, you’ll be thinking: “Thank goodness the idea for this book can’t really happen! It would be a nightmare!” So, if you’ve never read Dean Koontz and you’re looking for a great new horror author or suspense author to try, read this book! If you’re already a fan of Koontz, whether a longtime fan or a newcomer, read this book! Take my word for it: You’ll have a new favorite on your hands for sure!

Lightning. Dean Koontz has been my favorite author since I was 13 years old and trying to find a book at a local drug store to write a report on. I have read every novel that he has written and loved each one equally, until now. Lightning is by far my favorite. It has everything and more! You won't be disappointed and you won't be able to put it down.......

Awesome!!!. This is a great book. Right from the beginning it caught my attention. I couldn't put it down. I downloaded the app on my iPhone also just to make sure I could read it on the go. This book kept me on edge. I Love Dean Koontz!!!! He is the MAN!!!!

Dean Koontz represents his awesomeness once again. Read it if you know what's best for you. If you don't enjoy this as well as Dean Koontz being the king, then park on a hill with your car in neutral with only the e-brake engaged, pay anyone all the money you have to your name to sit in driver seat with foot on brake peddle and hand on e-brake, lay your head behind the rear tire of car, and have hired helper release foot brake and e-brake simultaneously allowing car to not only run your cranium into the pavement once...but a second time until both wheels have done this world a favor and exploded your meaningless opinions as well as your meaningless existence, all over the street. Great book.

Lightning. A very good read stretching the imagination wonderfully with rich characters that keeps me reading and collecting all of Dean Koontz books.

Movie time. This book is aged but still a gripping story! The only novel i have read multiple times. I hope there is a screenplay written cause with modern CG this would make for an amazing looking movie!
