Brilliant, as always. There's nothing as satisfying as Robert Parker books. This is the last of his westerns's series. Make sure to start with the first. What a treat.

Blue-Eyed Devil. Another great Virgil and Everette story. Parker's western heroes come alive in yet another exciting old timey yarn. The saga continues. Five stars all the way.

Blue eyed devil.. An excellent series of books. It is terrible that Mr. Parker is gone. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the western genre.

Blue eyed devil. A poorly stitched together pastiche of almost every trite western theme possible from truly second rate writing. Otherwise, it's a great book.

Predictable Parker. Virgil and Everett talk a lot like Spenser and Hawk. About their code. And about the complexity of love. And about how good they are at killing. Reluctantly of course. Oh so predictable. And yet delightfully familiar. A few annoying anachronisms ... I'm pretty sure the phrase "when the balloon goes up" was not in common usage until about 1915. Still, I'll keep reading all of Parker's novels ... A have several left to go.

Blue Eyed Devils. A fine western by a fine writer. The part of Virgil reminds me of Gary Cooper.

Bull's Eye. Parker hit the Bull's Eye again. Sadly this will likely be the last time Virgil cleans up a western city. I thought this book was excellent and met the high expectations that I had when I picked it up. Parker will be missed.
