Joe Ledger: Most Bad*** Character ever. Sure there are stronger, smarter, and more technologically advanced characters out there, but few to none bring the raw brutality and expert finesse that Ledger has, coupled with his otherwise very human psyche. It's only fitting that he and the DMS should take on the most horrific evil masterminds out there in my favorite series! I'd give the series a 4.5 because there are a lot of grammar errors that shouldn't be there, but Apple won't let me, and they don't retract from the novels overall.

Patient zero. I could not lay this book down what a terrific writer my next goal is to read every book he has written

Action PACKED. This book was a pleasure reading from beginning to end, considering the action was non stop and had detail to it. I do have to admit the characters lacked a certain depth, overall a wonderful book.

Great Read. This Book is way better than any zombie action movie you will ever see!!

Great Book. This book kept me captivated the whole way through. It was scary and funny all mixed together, and I loved the ending.

Zombie noir. Solid premise, lots of action, and zombies. If you're into horror give it a try. If you want to read something intellectually stimulating read something else.

Incredible. This book was outstanding

This is how a modern zombie story should work. Don't want to give away too many details, but this books seamlessly brings the zombie genre into the 21st century. Solid, believable characters, just the right amount if suspense and mystery and a good twist at the end lake this a compelling read. I couldn't put it down! And $2.99?! You just have to give it a shot.

A thriller with a horror heart. Ever wonder what it would look like if Tom Clancy decided to write a horror novel? Well you don't have to, easily one of the best examples of thriller meets horror, Patient Zero is a masterpiece mishmash of two of my favorite genres. Well done Mr. Maberry, well done! R. Amazing. As usual another great one

Patient zero. Amazing book, great story. I love the characters. I would highly recommend to everyone I know.

Engaging sci fi thriller. Nicely told tale with a complex but somewhat predictable plot; interesting and well developed characters. Entertaining escape reading that builds to a crescendo toward the end. Combination of zombie and terrorist genres works surprisingly well. Recommended!

Zombie twist. I enjoyed this zombie style book very much, different from many of the others I've read.

Horrendous. Great story idea,horrible execution. Terrible writing, zero character development and a lot of the action was like describing a first person shooter video game that I ended up skipping over. Worst 9.99 I ever spent on a book.

Generic Thriller. This book was entertaining, but none of the characters were very captivating and at the end of the book I did not care about whether or not any of them died. This book feels like it was thrown together, with pointless action scenes that did not really do much to propel the plot. There were also very cliche moments and the book did not offer any surprises. If you want an escape from reality that is not challenging, but somewhat interesting, go ahead and read this book. If you are looking for something that offers a unique plot and characters you care about, go elsewhere.

Cheesy and predictable.. Reads like a rediculously cheesy action novel written for a 16 year old. Plot is very predicable. Steals all of the prototypical spy novel elements. Hot, British major for the main character to fall in love with, check. Quirky, affable scientist to assist the main character, check. A ragtag team made up of a variety of former special forces types, check. Probably the most rediculously aspect of this novel is the fact that the main character, a detective with Baltimore police department apparently happens to be the most lethal combination of martial artist and super soldier that he easily bests the typical assortment of special forces veterans.
