Holly SPIT!!!. I read this book in language arts class this is one of the best books i have ever read!Its amazing if u like this book u should look at "Unwind" thats also a amazing book!

What was the point of all this?. If the missile attack wasn’t real, then why were they in the compound? Their father lied to them in order to get his family into the compound, it get that, but why? Why did he want his family to live in underground isolation for the next 15 years? I’m honestly asking. Maybe I missed something, but if anybody knows, please tell me.

The Compound. Excellent book! Full of twists and turns. It will keep you guessing until the very end.

Not worth it.. This book seems like a children’s book. It takes a long time for things to get interesting and then when they are interesting it becomes boring again. Not what I expected when I bought it. It’s not worth it. If you want a good book where people are trapped inside and have to search for answers, read “The Maze Runner”. That’s all folks!

Amaaaaaaazing😄😄😄😄😄😄😄. I read this as a sixth grade book project after 2 of my friends told me it was awesome and that i need to read it. Great suspense. Definetly should be made into a movie

Totally. Amazing.. This book is super great and is great for 12-17 year olds. It really makes you think. Some parts are kind of disturbing but S.A Bodeen doesn't get too gory or descriptive. For example, (SPOILER ALERT: The protagonist's parents have additional children in the Compound and keep them all in a room in case one day they run out of food, then they will eat them.) But really good though!

Sick minded, parents read. This is the worst I have ever read. The books starts of very good for the first 100 pages. Buy then it gets bad. This book is about a father that is a billionaire that makes an underground shelter and survives nuclear war. They have to stay in the compound for 15 years and then they start to run out of food. The dad has a horrible retaliation ship with his wife and is always lying. The mother gets pregnant and the kids have to drink her milk, I know gross wright that's only the beginning. The dad creates clones to reproduce with his daughter and the book is just sick. DONT READ THIS BOOK.

Pro. People said that the compound was a great book so I gave it a try. I finished the book in three days because it was so thrilling and suspicious so it kept me flipping the pages. You need to get this book and read it. This book is a must made movie!!!!!

Amazing book. I had to read this book for my seventh grade English class. The end of each chapter made you want to read on and on. My teacher made it very exciting and fun to read. She read it to us while we did our bell work. I would recommend this book for teens ages ten and up.

Review. WARNING ONCE YOU FINSH THIS BOOK MAKES YOU SAD YOU FINISHED IT BECAUSE ITS SUCH A GOOD BOOK. REVIEW I read this book the summer before my ninth grade year and i thought that This is such a heart filling fun surprising suspenseful story that you never want to stop reading. I even am making my English teacher read it and she loves it! It keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole story just about. And you can't wait to see how the whole story comes together. it keeps you waiting in suspense and once u start the story u don't want to stop reading not Even for sleep. I bought the paperback version and stayed up day and night reading the book for two days before I finished it and then passed out and had a dream about the characters. I personally find this book better than The Giver and if your still debating wether or not to get it your over thinking it just get it. I just hope the author write sequel she ended it just wright for one. If you read this book I suggest u start before the first chapter like I did.

At one point (when I couldn't put it down) it was 2:00 and I squeaked when things started getting really intense and I was so excited. It was so good and I was so happy I read it!!!! LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Quick. Read it in 4 hours. Very, very good. Should be a movie.

Love-hate relationship. (Caution: this review has spoilers) Eli's father, Rex, has built an underground compound to keep his family safe from a nuclear attack. The compound has a lot of luxury, from a library to a movie theater, and even a shelter for livestock! But then, there are problems with food supplies. The livestock have gotten sick and died. The grain has turned gray and rancid. But the door won't open for another nine years. I had to read this book for school. It can be good at times, but there are some bad parts. Like for example, I'm not rooting for Eli the main character, because of his attitude towards others. In some books, having a smart mouth for a main character works, but it seems like Eli's a brat. It was tiring reading about how he's rude to his siblings, and I wanted to skip these parts. And little of the characters had developement. for example, Eli's younger sister, Terese start off the novel by suspecting their dad of wrongdoing. And then you barely see her again, and she does not help Eli in this situation. The older sister, Lexie, basically stays in her room. And their only humanizing roles for taking care of the supplements, who are babies that Eli's mom has had for the purpose of consumption later. Really? The mom agreed to breed children for the purpose of consumption? I don't think so. She was obviously a loving mother. The oldest of the supplements, Lucas has a personality. The other, Quinn, is an infant, and the middle child, the girl, Cara, has no screen time on quotes whatsoever, despite being two years old (I've seen two-year-olds talk you know). And Eli's mom, other than being beautiful, is useless. Later on, Eli discovers an Internet connection with his twin brother, Eddy and his grandmother, who got allegedly stuck outside on the night the attack happened. Eddy and Gram thought that the rest of the family died in a fire, and they didn't have anything to bury at the funeral. But you don't decide that a family has disappeared into a fire without forensic and fire investigations, as they would have found bone fragments and determined the accelerant that the dad used. And Eli's father never let it slip through the cracks. He does not have a password on the compound's Wi-Fi? I have a password on my Wi-Fi, and I can use the iCloud feature on my iPhone 5s. The connection leads to Eli's father being crazy, because of genetics, and the dad drinks a bunch of antacid. Then Eli saves the day, and he and his siblings hold the babies, while his mom swoons in a corner. Overall, the book was weak. The dad was crazy because of genetics. The mom was weak and did as her husband told, Eli spent a bunch of the book either being rude to his sisters (which in a way gave them screen time) or reflecting on the mom's useless beauty, and the characters didn't really have development.

Awesome. I was going to school when I found your book so I gave it a chance and when I read it it was astonishing please make this book into a movie for all to enjoy this is a book that surpasses J.K Rowling's Harry Potter.
