Horrible!!!!. Please do not waste your money! I was completely fooled by all the reviews. Book was extremely confusing and did not make any sense. If I could give it zero stars I would. I'm on page 200 and I'm forcing myself to continue to read it bc I paid for it.

Movie was good. When I saw the movie I cried people told me to shut up

The moive. I want to read the book, when I do I bet it going to be amazing. I saw the movie and fell in love, amazinggg and just all in all greatt moviee, and most likly great book. :) Must see movieeee...

Zombie Favorite. Isaac Marion's style of macabre mixed with just the right amount of humor is extremely entertaining. The prose, the dialogue, everything about this book is perfect. I instantly fell in love with the tragic main character, as I watch him struggle to articulate his unique thoughts. I'm willing to soak up anything this author writes in the future.

Good book. Read it twice and compared to the movie this version is better.

Ticked off... First I watched the movie and I loved,I watched the movie so much it's not funny..lol,we'll I'm 11 and I watched the movie and it was pretty clean,besides the cursing,lol.i heard about the book and I had my eye completely set on it!i rushed 2 my dad and asked if I could buy it,the answer was no.he told me it was wwaaayyy 2 innerpropreote,now I'm really ticked..well on the bright side I can read it when I'm 17,lol.

Best book!. I believe this is even BETTER than Twilight. It's content isn't as sexual. I LOVED this book! My new favorite!

Warm bodies. It was the best book ever!! I'm really sad I've read it and its over. Looking forward to the movie.

Easy read. I read this in two days, and found the story compelling, witty, and funny. It had romance and gore, and plenty of excitement. I loved the characters and plot itself, but I could have done without the unnecessary foul language, and crude sex references. It's not that I mind sex references, but it was often referred to as "f@&$$&@". I think story would've been better without that, it was cheapened. More importantly, if you are a Christian, and it offends you to see the name of Jesus Christ profaned, DO NOT READ THIS. I can't count how many times it occurred. Often. I almost stopped reading it, and will most likely never read this author again. It's a real shame because I loved the story line. That's why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5

Best book ever. Sure it's a little long but it only took me 4 days to read this book there's never ever a dull moment action packed i loved it was worth the money

Amazing. Saw the movie trailer and decided to look for the book! So exited that I did because it was absolutely incredible. Would definitely recommend. Hope to see more work from the author!

Best zombie story ever, in my opinion. Warning: Review may include SPOILERS. I have the paperback version of the novel and I LOVED IT. The detailing of the book's world was exquisite, and the characterisations fantastic. I especially loved R's way of thought- from how he derived his surroundings, to his need to "feel alive" and him feeling bad about having to eat people's brains. Sort of. The movie did a fantastic job of visualising this book, but the book still holds some shine over the cinematic rendition. I also liked R's interactions with Julie. They're sweet, for lack of a better word. Very interesting to see how Julie brings forth his humanity. All in all, it's a darn good read and one I recommend to both casual readers and lovers of horror/science-fiction/fantasy/zombie/apocalyptic plotlines.

Warm Bodies. I congratulate the author for finding a unique twist on what us becoming an overdone genre. His writing style is easy to read, almost poetic at times. A good read.

Amazing. I watched the movie when it came out and fell in love. The book takes you through the movie and beyond. I couldn't stop reading this. It was 100% fantastic and I'd recommend it to EVERYONE! (:

Book. This book was one of the best novels in history. This book is a life changer. Once you read this you will fall in love with the book. The story is so descriptive and funny.

Warm Bodies. This book is simply, the best book I've ever read. The characters are very easy to get attached to, and the book definitely tugs at my emotions. I also love the originality of this book, not counting the obvious Romeo and Juliet theme. I have read this three times in the past couple months and every time I read it, it feels like the first time. I can't wait to see this movie in theaters on February 1st!

I might even read it again. It's been a while since I've gotten so thoroughly engrossed in a book. At times quiet and pensive, at times yearning and heartfelt, at times gory and throat-ripping, with a heavy dose of apocalypse and a dash of machine gun chatter. Even when R is just shuffling around, munching some brain and thinking about stuff, it's fricking fascinating. I have mixed feelings about the ending, but it's still one of those rare books that I might actually read more than once.

A fun & easy read. I'd like to start this by saying, I saw the movie before I read the book, so this review very quickly deteriorated into a criticism of the movie. But I will say that both are enjoyable, and both are worth checking out. That being said, this was a fun and easy read, especially if you're a fan of the horror genre. The ending was WAY more satisfying, the characters were much more fleshed out (lol), and the boneys actually fit in with the plot. If you enjoyed the movie, READ THIS. Overall, it was an interesting take on the zombie lore. My only gripe is that if we were able to read about Perry's sexual encounters with Julie, why couldn't we read about R getting a little action??

Warm Bodies praise. This is my absolute favorite book hands down! I actually felt like I was in R's world and perspective. Or like I was a watching a movie which I have seen the movie for this book which is really amazing but I feel that the novel is better! Isaac is such a good author and I just love his books!

Just sheer non-disappointment. I will not indulge in the witty, unoriginal "better than Twilight" comment, but this book definitely shows the capacity that the human mind holds. Not just in R's mind, but in Isaac Marion's. The way the story was written was detailed so closely, to the point that even I felt more human than ever as I approached the ending. I became more aware of everything. Sadly, though, R had to be portrayed as "probably unemployed" in the movie trailer. *sigh*

The only reason it's not 5. Stars is because they focused too much on the ex bf for me. Other than the parts I skipped because it was Perry's ghost talking to R, it was a great read.

Fantastic. This book was funny and great to read. I finish reading the book in two days. I just couldn't put it down. I recommend the book to everybody. R and Julie is a beautiful love story. A fantastic book.

Romantic without being overplayed. I saw this movie in theaters almost 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the story of R and Julie, I stumbled across the movie again and saw that it was inspired by a book. Immediately I knew I had to read the series! I love that the book has so much more detail to what R is thinking and how he feels about the situation, and I was actually intrigued to see how much it differed from the movie but I still was engulfed in the pages! Such a great read, romantic but kind of gruesome in all the right ways. Definitely would recommend!

Loved it. I could not put this book down. You can't help but love the characters. The book made me feel that even when things seem grim hope and love can change everything. Can bring a person back to life. Can't wait till the movie is released.

Boring. I can not believe they made this into a movie. I was bored to tears. If I didn't have to read this for my book club I would have stopped reading this after the first few chapters!

R is everything. “We will be the cure. Because we want it.” My favorite part of this book was definitely its prose. This has been called Romeo and Juliet with Zombies and I one hundred percent get why. Marion is undoubtedly a very talented writer. R was sympathetic, and approachable all while being a flesh eating zombie (kudos for pulling off that hard sell) and made even more so by his joining with Perry. I liked Julie, but not near to the extent I did R. She had depth, but it just didn’t all sell for me. This post apocalyptic zombie novel is definitely original in concept and execution, and I was riveted for the first half. The second half, not so much. I started to get lost when I was thrust into Julie’s much less interesting world of the living. What made this novel brilliant was the zombie society being rebuilt and their consciousness. That spark was largely lost for the last half of the novel unfortunately. Definitely a must read for fans of the genre, though I can’t say I am clamoring to read the sequel.

Definitely not the movie. This novel clips along and is easy to read - just approach it expecting the characters to be totally different than in the recent movie. While R in the movie appears in love with Julie instantly and that he has great character deep in his soul just waiting to revive, the R in the book is interested in Julie because of Perry and he is bewildered by the events around him. All of the characters in the book are much darker and cynical than in the movie, and frankly I was truly disappointed with the book version of Julie.

Best book in a long time!. So first off, i'm not a fan of zombies at all. The fact that i got this book is still kind of a mystery to me, but i don't regret it at all! This book was fantastic, and i got through it very quickly! The story was written beautifully! I enjoyed seeing the story told from R's perspective which is very different. It had a wonderful balance between action and romance, as well as between seriousness and humor. It really allowed me to feel for the characters, as well as kept me interested. Pieces of the book I found very shocking, like when it told of how their world fell apart, and made me realize that that could just as easily happen to us. I can't wait for the next book! Its really truly worth buying!

Great read. Easy and fun... I loved R and Julie's story. Very hopeful. And, zombies!

Not what I expected... Better than I could have hoped.. I always read a book before going to see the movie. This book was nonexception to that habit. I assumed this was intended to be a funny parody to the Twilight series of movies (Great books, horrific movies). Knowing nothing of this storyline, I half expected cheesy lines and easy shots at vampire-human love. My friend and I were going to go see the show with "Team Zombie" shirts hahah Boy was I wrong. This book deserves nothing less then 5 stars. Those who give it any less have unreal expectations of life and entertaining literature, and should take to writing if they think they could do better. It was refreshingly different, and amazingly creative. It also managed to remain 'tasteful' for lack of better words hah! Sexual awkwardness was thankfully kept to a minimum, and necrophilia was widely avoided. Thank God. I chuckle now when I think about bumper stickers I've encountered saying, "Zombies have feelings too." I can imagine the author came across something similar and a spark went off. Props to the author for somehow managing to get the readers into the "brain" and daily activities of a full blooded zombie. A few have pointed out errors such as, hair and nails continue to grow once your dead, citing that the write screwed it all up..... Really? Give me a break. I read this all in one night. If you are here reading reviews to decided, just get the book. You may not love the topic of choice, but you at least have to admire the uniqueness of this story.

A Definite Must Read.. I highly recommend this book, it was filled with such raw detail and intriguing characters that I couldn't put it down. I loved the universe in which it was set, and the emotions it made me feel.

Not a zombie fan :/. I am in no way a zombie fan, even zombie land give me nightmares. That being said the only reason I lost sleep over this zombie was because I stayed up all night reading his funny and dark take on the world. By far the best book I have read in quite some time. *****
