Lacking any bit of magic, she can easily spot a fake spell, catch hidden clauses in competitor’s contracts, and detect magically disguised intruders. Suddenly, average Katie is very special indeed.
She quickly learns that office politics are even more complicated when your new boss is a real ogre, and you have a crush on the sexy, shy, ultra powerful head of the R&D department, who is so busy fighting an evil competitor threatening to sell black magic on the street that he seems barely to notice Katie. Fun & Easy Read. Cute storyline. Decent character development.
Eh, just eh.... I read this with the hopes that it would get better as it went on. Sadly, it didn't. This might be captivating to a 12 year old, but the buck stops there.
Strangely compelling.... Written in the style of the early Harlequin romance novels that my grandma used to read it is updated with mystery and fantasy and somehow I just can't look away! A feeling of childhood fairly tale living in a real world with a mystery that both is obscure until the very end and satisfying.
Loved!. I read this book about six months ago and today I find myself reading it again. Being excited to pick it up a second time is when you know you love a book!

Fun read!. This was a fun, light quick read. The supernatural stuff reminded me a bit of the True Blood series, but this is much, much lighter and easier to follow along with. I enjoyed this book so much I bought the 2nd in the series immediately after finishing. Fun & entertaining:)
