Great Read. This was a tremendous read. Very, very good.

Excellent. Fantastic book. Original and twisted. It gave scary mental images that doesn't happen often with a fictional story involving ghosts.

Long Live The Kings. I read "Horns" first and was blown away. This was before I knew who he was. A Chip off the old Block. I love his work and look forward to reading more. His real name is "Billy" and I have a rare baseball card to prove it, I'll say no more.

You can’t go wrong. I have read this book 3x, this is by far the best book I have ever read. It keeps you on your toes from the first page, to the last! Joe Hill, You are an amazing Author! This was so scary and keeps you on your toes, thank you so much!!!

Wow. Scariest book I have read in years. I love a book that I can't put down. Cant stop thinking about the characters, and what's going to happen next. This story pulled me in, and never let go. And when it did, I was bummed it was over. It was that good. All his books are. Joe Hill is an extremely talented writer. Definitely blood of his fathers blood. A+++++++

Great. I read this about 4 years ago it was a wonderful book. He is definitely talented like his father.

Awesome. I enjoyed this book. It had me turning the pages like a mad woman trying to find out what happens next.

Amazing and very dark. This story was creepy and had all the darkness you would expect, what I didn't expect was the sheer sadness throughout this book. It really demonstrates how the suffering of those we deem 'less than' (poor, uneducated class of people in our country by the millions) a girl molested most of her life becomes promisucous and a drug addict as a direct result of what happened to her. Yet she blames herself for her misgivings. I felt for her through this book and I cried several times.

Good writing, boring story. While the writing is great and furnishes an effortless reading experience, I just didn’t find the story very interesting. Part of the issue is that there is hardly a likeable character in the story. I’m sure the main characters were meant to grow on me as the story progressed, but it didn’t happen and by the climax I still didn’t really care what happened to them. Characters aside, the main conflict is fairly linear and there are few events that feel surprising or exciting.

Better than a 5 star. Amazing writing of mystery/ horror, really kept me on the edge of my seat. Look forward to reading another one of his books.

Hard to get into. I’d heard great things about this book but it was hard to get into. The characters aren’t particularly likeable or relatable, which might have something to do with that. Will still check out some of Joe’s later work.

Loved it!. I really enjoyed this book and did not want it to end. I read Horns first and didn't care for it so I was hesitant to read Heart Shaped Box. But I found this novel to be a true horror story that persuaded me to put it down before nightfall! I read in daylight hours only and for me, that is the mark of a fine spooky tale!

Scary. Better than his father.. He writes at a much faster pace and has the ability to make you jump. Fast paced and write very well. I recommend this book to everyone who's looking for a good creepy fix.
