Not what I expected.. Although some might argue that all near death experiences are also religious experiences, I was expecting a book that was perhaps less religious.

90 Minutes in Heaven. Very interesting story and a nice way of presenting it to those of us that believe that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is in control of all things.

Powerfully Poignant & Encouraging. Cec Murphy and Don Piper masterfully executed the recounting of the miraculous events Don experienced. This story was a true encouragement to me, and I am grateful that God blessed Don to be able to tell his story enabling him to become such an encouragement.

Very uplifting !!. I have never been a big reader with books . I grew up in a pentacostal church as a child so i am a believer . I came across this book by accident never knew or heard of you are your story . Something told me i need to read this I guess we all have things in life that we have to deal with and i need to hear your story . I down loaded it on my phone might have had just a few dollars in my account to last me til next pay period but i did and i started reading it about 6 am i didnt stop until about 5:30 that evening because i had to bring my daughter to cheer practice still in my pjs all day i couldnt put it down til this day everyone i talk to i tell about this book . The only book i own in my house is the bible ive never bought another book until this one and i enjoyed it so thank you !!

90 Minutes In Heaven.. This book has confirms my belief that there is a heavenly place where all who believes in God shall have eternal life. At one time I was afraid of death but no more. I am so happy I will be and see others again that have gone before me. It delights me to no end to know that I will once again be with my beloved parents. I look forward to that day. 90 minutes in Heaven. I love this book. It helps you learn more about the pain people go threw from a car wreck. I love the part were he talks about Heaven because I will know more about it.This and Heaven is for Real have been my favorite books this year.Thank you for writing this book. I've enjoyed the times when I know I got to stop but I can't cause the next chapter is the one where the best part comes and it just goes on and on.

Wow!. As a former medic, I feel for Don and his horrible experience; I've seen too many of those who've had similar experiences with much poorer results. God gave you a mission and you've proven yourself worthy! You're description of Heaven gives me so much encouragement and inspired me greatly! God bless you!

Didn't like at all!. This book is more about his hospital stay and how he almost died. It probably had 3 pages about his 90m in heaven. I was expecting to hear more about heaven and what he saw. Again, the book was 98% about his hospital stay and depression. I don't think it helped that my brother has been through WAY worse accidents (yes 2) then the man in the book. It was almost like it was a pitty-party for him. He also repeats himself a lot!

Heaven is Real.. Amazing testimony, praise God, for those who says he did not give any description of heaven he did, he did describe it, but he also say as a he was going inside the gate of heaven he was immediately taken back to earth in his body, so he did not get all the chance to experience and see all he could.

Focus is on Author’s Pain. Thirty minutes into the book and you’ve read all the author has to say about heaven. But you have anout 600 pages to plow through of complaints about the painful treatments he endured. Read Heaven is for Real!

Amazing book. This is an amazing book. Although I am a christian I have had my doubts about what happens when we die. I've had struggles and have given up on prayer. I pray harder than I've ever prayed every day. Thank you Mr. Piper for sharing your experience and giving me back my faith in prayer.

Did not like at all!. Oh my oh my, I am on page 200 on this book , and all he writes about is his hospital journey . I thought it was gonna be like " Heaven is for Real" . But no , this book has me bored to tears . Waste of my money .

Awe-Inspiring, Leaving Me Thinking & Curious. I found this book as a decent read because I have always found interest in others' life experiences. This book is a great testimony of faith. It leaves me with as many answers as I have questions. I found it repetitive at times, but finished the book to the end - which is a great feat for me because I often start books and never finish them. I give this book a 3/5. Recommended, but not a page-flipping, stay-up-all-night-reading kind of book.

great book. this was a very comfort book. it helps me to know that friends and family that i lost are singing and happy in heaven.

Too much filler material... zzz. The book starts off with a bang... in the first 30 pages a trip to heaven is detailed. Those pages are free of charge to read online. Then after you get excited and purchase the rest of the book, you quickly realize it was a waste of money. Basically, after the Heaven experience is revealed, the book turns into 170 pages of poorly written self-centered boredom. I ended up skimming most of the book because it was so relentlessly uninteresting and dull. I would recommend reading the free 30-page teaser, then be done. Very disappointing book. If I could get a refund, I would.

Waiting.... While I am a believer in God's word that there is heaven waiting for those of us who accept Him as our Savior, this book left me waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the big reveal. I flipped back through the e-reader thinking I may have bypassed a chapter that gave Don's glorious description of heaven, but none. I am left wondering, why no detail of his 90 minutes in heaven?

AMAZING. I really haven't thought that much about heaven, but just by reading this book, it feels like I am closer to God! I highly recommend this book, and I hope it brings you closer to God too!

An Inspiring Story. Review of 90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death and Life by Don Piper and Cecil Murphy Don Piper is an ordained minister. While traveling on church business, he was crushed inside his car when a semi-truck crossed lanes. The paramedics who arrived at the scene found no pulse, and Piper was pronounced dead. Piper writes that in his “next moment of awareness” he was “standing in heaven” with a greeting committee of those who had passed before him. Piper writes about his experiences in the after life, as well as his long and arduous recovery. Not only did he feel the intense physical pain of a shattered body, he also felt a deep depression.In his story of recovery, he shares the lessons that served to help him heal. For example, he says that “even the smallest decisions often hold significant consequences” including choices we make based on that which we cannot control, such as the weather. The book is written in a documentary style, without sensationalism or unnecessary drama. Each chapter is preceded by Bible verse. Through his profound experience, Piper reminds the reader to not take life for granted. 90 Minutes in Heaven. This was a great book. It inspires one to look beyond their pain, to reach back and help others who have experienced the same type of pain and recovery. It describes heaven and brings it into reality. I appreciate the utmost honesty and humbleness in how Don shares his experiences. It makes me reflect on my own life and accept that I don't have to understand why. I just have to accept that I am apart of God's plan.

90 minutes in Heaven. This is an awesome book! Inspiring, encouraging, makes me ashamed that I am such a whiner. Even though I have had tons of bad things happen to me, it is nothing compared to what Don went through. I heard Don speak at a prayer breakfast. There was something about his demeanor. I thought it was a calmness or peace, but maybe it was "This world is not my home, I am just traveling through.". Even though he is here helping and encouraging people, he's just biding time until he goes 'HOME'. Especially if he is in constant pain. I am thankful I had the opportunity to hear him speak and read his book.

90 minutes in Heaven. what a beautiful story, it brought memories from when i was with my mom, in that same hospital and floor. My mom experience a near life death moment. She didnt live long after that but she came back to tell me goodbye and that she will look over me. i will cherish that moment.

Truly Inspiring...........Wow!. This book has the imprint of God all throughout it! I was somewhat of a skeptic of near death experiences, although a follower of Christ. In 2008, my wife was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that ravaged her liver, she's only in her early 30s. A mother of two beautiful kids. Life would not be the same as we knew it, she eventually needed a liver transplant, so now the race for Life was on! For the sake of time......in may of 2012, my wife received a living donor transplant from her mom! My biggest fear was that I would be a single dad raising my kids, but God did an amazing thing on the day of my wife's surgery. My family all gathered together in my wife's room to pray before they wheeled her into surgery. As we prayed....God filled the room with His presence & if you were in the room.......you felt it! He instantly reassured my troubled Heart and mind and gave me a bold confidence in Him! My wife is doing great and we are discovering a new normal and purpose for our lives here on this earth! 90 Minutes in Heaven. This is the best book I have ever read in my entire life! It's so inspirational! I'm 13 and it was a school night and I didn't finish it until 2 A.M. It's a really great book though Don Piper is my hero!

More like 10 seconds in heaven. While this book tells a wonderful testimony, do not be mislead by the title. It talks about heaven for about one page and his hospital stay for the other 400. Poorly written. Extremely redundant. If you go in to it expecting this, however, it is worth reading.

Bridging the Gap. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, as have my wife and numerous others we've shared it with. It's one of those books you feel safe sharing with unbelievers. The Bible says that God has planted eternity in the hearts of all people. Like my friend Carlen, this especially surfaces when people are confronted with heir own mortality. That's when they recall the truth's they've heard from faithful believers. I encourage believers everywhere to share this book as a bridge to those you love - who resist the gospel.

Disappointed. The title is very misleading, because,in fact,Only about 12 pages is about heaven, the rest is his recovery. It was a remarkable one, however i bought this book to hear about his afterlife vision. I was very disappointed to learn in fact it hardly focused on it. What was told about it (very little) was repetitive, i.e. beautiful, happy, etc....it did nothing to inspire or increase my faith in heaven or the afterlife.

The only thing you get about is he hears music and sees colors and is greeted by a few people he knows. That's it! I wanted to know about Heaven. Not his accident and his recovery. Very disappointed.
