Fantastic read. One of the best books I've read. Too much sorrow at the end though....

A man who is talented and annoyingly good at everything, becomes a great success, usurping the first man on the way. Twists and turns all the way. An enjoyable romp

Why didn't I appreciate this at school?. Read this after recommendation of the manner of the tale. Never read a classic before and once you get your head around the old English, it's is a beautifully written, descriptive story about human nature and emotion. Almost want to go back through it and start working through the literary meanings from old English to new, Enraptured!
