There'd Better Be More. I may never get enough of Kate Shugak so Ms. Stabenow better have another "Kate" book in process. I have read everyone of the Kate Shugak series. They are great reads. So was this one. They only thing preventing a 5 star rating was the author giving character background/context at the front of the book. I didn't need it. Ms. Stabenow has another good plot in "Bad Blood" and her normal great character development and intimacy. When's the next one?

Bad Blood. Great Kate Shugak story as expected. Not at all happy with the ending. I understand the concept of cliffhanger but that's taking it too far, especially for diehard Kate & Mutt fans. I could live with a major double, triple cliffhanger if the next novel was months away. Its not so thats just messed up, not happy.

Bad Blood. As usual,I am always grateful to Ms. Stabenow for the next book. I never even bother to read the fly leaf on the book's jacket before I tuck it under my arm and head for the cashier. I pay for the book and then I ask my husband if he minds soup and sandwiches for dinner ,since it is certain as earthquakes in Alaska , that I will start the book and not come up for air until I have finished the book It matters not which book I bought, the rest of the day goes the same way as I admitted at the beginning of this review. Thank you again Ms. Stabenow for allowing me to travel with Kate through the beauty of Alaska while I try to help her through the tight spots from my easy chair, Yours faithfully, Ruth

Nnnnoooooooo!. Everything you expect from a Kate Shugak mystery. Beautiful scenery, great back story, fascinating characters, and a dead body or two. Loved it all the way until the very end. When is the next one coming out?

Sad!!!!. I do not like the ending ...

Ended with a "hook" more than three years ago!. I have bought every book in the Kate Shugak series, as well as the Liam Campbell series and the two Coast Guard books. Sometimes an author leaves us with a cliff-hanger or "hook" to encourage sales of the next book. I truly dislike this practice. Usually the next book in the series comes out in about a year, It is now May 2016, which is three years and three months after publication. No news yet about her next book. Not a good way to treat your many loyal fans.

Bad Blood. I really hope this isn't the last piece of her story, and that she has the sequel ready to go!

Bad blood bad ending.. I loved the story, but the ending was beyond disappointing...I cried.

Bad Blood. What a disappointment for a long-time Kate fan! If I had known this was not a stand-alone novel, I would not have wasted my money. Nowhere was it listed as part one. If it was the last book in the Kate series, the action was slow and the ending terrible. Don't waste your money.
