Let Me Go by Chelsea Cain Book Summary
Detective Archie Sheridan just has to get through the next few days, then his birthday and Halloween will be over. But with escaped serial killer Gretchen Lowell on the loose, the investigation into the murder of a DEA agent demanding his attention, and journalist Susan Ward showing up at his apartment needing a favor, it's going to be a long weekend.

Wonderful. Love Archie Sheridan, but it's time to get rid of Gretchen Lowell!
Let Me Go. This read is ridiculous. There are so many talented writers out there worthy of being published that it's astonishing to me that Cain made it all the way through the briar patch of agents, editors, and publishers. The last third of the book is rushed, hectic, screwy, and implausible. None of the characters elicit any compassion whatsoever from the reader. In fact, I was hoping that Cain would put the protagonist out of his misery at the finish line, but apparently she was too busy riding the roller coaster of best seller success to take the time to give any member of the cast more than a one dimensional wink. Let me go. Great book to get sucked up in. Loved the characters. Loved that I couldn't guess the ending. I will look to read another one of her books for sure!! 5 stars!!
