Hidden gem. This book was (and shouldn’t have been) a surprise. I went in to this read skeptical and it’s not my normal and loved it. It gave me a greater understanding of a religion I didn’t know about and the love interest in the book, I couldn’t help cheering them on. The characters are well written. Loved the story. 100% Read it, you won’t be disappointed.

Couldn’t put it down♥️All the feels. Over too quickly-laughed, cried, fell in love, broken-hearted… & repeat. These characters are so human, lovable, broken, & relatable. I didn’t want the pages to end. This is a book I will read over & over again. I felt every emotion. Best rollercoaster! It is brilliant!

Thank you. May I please have another?. I’d say it was a quick and easy read, but it was only quick as I devoured it. It wasn’t easy because it also devoured and preyed upon my heart and emotions. Tanya has such a way of gutting you, stealing your heart, crushing your emotions and then putting them all back together again as you say thank you and ask for more. What a ride! I’ve read everything by Tanya Bird and I have never been disappointed. This one is special though. It will have you in your feels the whole book. If you’re familiar with her writing then I’ll have to warn you this one is grittier and more raw. Also more language in this one but it has purpose and reason, not just someone trying to make a word count. Read it. You won’t be disappointed.

Real life story. I read this whole book in one sitting. This author draws you in and you want to keep reading until you reach the end. She blends the unexpected of life and how the characters deal with that into a story that allows the characters to grown and become individuals I would want to hang out with in real life. Well worth your time to read.

It is 4am and I have cried tears of joy and sorrow!!! This book was absolutely bitter sweet.. The beautiful novel reminded me of how hard love is. As a daughter, a lover and a friend.

Brilliant. Wow just wow. I read this in a day I couldn’t put it down. Just a wonderful book. The storyline was brilliant and so compelling. Rich characters with great thoughtful writing. An amazing insight into the world of religion. I think Tanya’s writing just gets better and better.

Shards of you and me a must read for all. I received an ARC of this book from Tanya Bird, every time I read one of Tanya’s books I think it is the best. This book is no different, once I started reading I couldn’t put the book down. Tanya has a way of making you feel part of the story, you feel all the emotions, from tears to laughter. I loved Hunter and Annie’s story, the struggles Annie had with her faith and upbringing in the Jehovah’s Witness faith and Hunter with his alcoholic father and the loss of his mother. Their journey to happiness was a rollercoaster of emotions. I can’t wait to see what Tanya writes next. This is a must read for all
