“One of the best thrillers I have read this year. The plot is intelligent and will keep you hooked from the beginning. The author did a superb job creating a set of characters who are fully developed and very much enjoyable. I can hardly wait for the sequel.”

From #1 bestselling and USA Today bestselling author Jack Mars, author of the critically acclaimed Luke Stone and Agent Zero series (with over 5,000 five-star reviews), comes an explosive new action-packed espionage series that takes readers on a wild ride across Europe, America, and the world.

Jacob Snow—elite soldier-turned-CIA agent, haunted by his tortured past—is one of the CIA’s greatest assets, and is dispatched when the stakes are highest. When an ancient Egyptian relic goes missing under mysterious circumstances, Jacob knows this is no run-of-the-mill robbery: the relic holds a secret—one that could destroy everything.

Jacob seeks out a mysterious and beautiful archeologist, whose brilliance is needed on the case. Together, they must partner to decode the archeological riddles and stop the terrorists before it is too late.

Yet as they race to recover the stolen artifact, they soon find themselves in the midst of a conspiracy bigger than anything they could have imagined—and time is quickly running out.

An unputdownable action thriller with heart-pounding suspense and unforeseen twists, TARGET ONE is the debut novel in an exhilarating new series by a #1 bestselling author that will make you fall in love with a brand-new action hero—and keep you turning pages late into the night. Perfect for fans of Dan Brown, Daniel Silva and Jack Carr.

Books #2-#6 in the series are now also available.

Garbage. Jack Mars has delivered some of my favorite characters and series. This book is a sad comparison. Feels like it should be first three chapters in a proper book. To make it worse, it’s quite “putdownable” and produced , I assume, to whet your appetite for installments 2 & 3. Not for me; a seventh-grader could write a better book using the same formula. -I received a free advance copy asking for an honest review. I say don’t waste your time with this one.

Intense Thriller Crime. Intense thriller crime reading. Definitely a page turner to find out what will be the next thing to happen.

Boring. Badly written... too much irrelevant details on the action scenes..

Outstanding. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read that got better as it went on. I read it in two short evenings where it was the perfect level of engrossing to keep my attention away from personal stress.

Action-packed!. Although a tad redundant at times, I enjoyed the thriller. Not a cliffhanger, but I was hoping for a little more resolution between the two main characters. I guess I’ll have to read the next in the series. Found the use British spelling to be a bit confusing, for a books who’s central characters are American.

Imminent catastrophe!. Target One, the first offering in the new series from Jack Mars, grabs your interest from the first sentence in the prologue and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the final typed word! Jacob Snow, a CIA agent, and his former colleague’s daughter, Dr. Jana Peters, take us on a fast paced journey to thwart a terrorist plot at the Suez Canal. Another winner from Jack Mars! I can’t wait to read the second novel!!

Good read.. Good read. We’ll written.

G.I. Joe for adolescents. Predictable juvenile silly. Don’t waste your time with this one. No wonder it was free

Target 1. Fast paced thriller, but a bit short and simple

Fantastic. Just an awesome book that was hard to put down. Well written with great characters, I’m excited to tear into the series now.

Suspenseful Target One. Jack Mars is excellent developing any type of new action Figure Character. He’ll keep you on the edge of your seat with this book.

Ready for book 2. Bought all books in series so off we go….Very good start with two characters I can already see on the big screen. Non stop action with scope for romance - call me a softie but hooked !

Let down. Being a huge fan of Agent Zero and Luke Stone, I was really looking forward to the debut of this new character. Oh dear what a disappointment. Totally far fetched, implausible and badly written for someone of Jack Mars pedigree Won’t be rushing to buy the sequel.

Action packed thriller. Compulsive reading.. Jack Mars introduces a new hero, Jacob Snow and expertly develops his background and character along with the other individuals involved while hitting the ground running in a real page turner of an action thriller with unexpected twists. This is the first book in a new series in which the central character Jacob Snow an elite soldier with a troubled past and now a CIA agent enlists the aid of an Egyptology Professor to thwart a unique terrorist threat. I found it compulsive reading, didn’t want to put it down until the final page and look forward to the next book in the series

Review of Target One (The Spy Game). I like Jack Mars as a Writer,I have read some of his other books, that is why I have given this rating

TARGET ZERO. Utter rubbish, unbelievable characters, hopeless writing and a weak, not credible plot.

A page turner!. Enjoyed the combination of archeology and a CIA operation. Definitely a thrilling read but hope the well thought out plot stays in the fictional world. Recommend this author!

Target One. Couldn’t put it down.

I couldn’t put the book down. Exciting from the first page to the last.. Worth Reading

Target One. Bullets and Braun . Middle Eastern setting with American hero saving the day. If you like this style there’s plenty of action.

Action. This was a great read with lots of action to keep the pages turning almost on their own. I can’t wait to read more.
