Čo všetko dokáže jedno malé prasiatko? Každý z Becciných troch jedenásťročných bratov je na niečo macher, no Becca nevyniká vôbec v ničom. Jedného dňa však zazrie pri ceste malé choré prasiatko a všetko sa zrazu zmení. Becca si prasiatko privlastní a dá mu meno Pinky. A nechce sa oň s nikým deliť! Pinky hneď pochopí, že patrí iba Becce. No čím je Pinky väčšia a mocnejšia, tým horšie lotroviny vystrája. No záleží na zničenej kuchyni, rozbitých dverách a vydrancovanom obchode s potravinami, keď ste si konečne našli najlepšiu kamarátku? Cynthia Kadohata je japonsko-americká spisovateľka, ktorej tvorba je určená všetkým vekovým kategóriám. Napísala niekoľko románov pre dospelých, preslávila sa románom pre mladých dospelých, ale vyšlo jej už aj niekoľko kníh pre deti a mládež. Za svoju tvorbu získala viacero významných ocenení. Cynthia žije v Kalifornii s dvoma ľuďmi, dvoma psami, dvoma jaštericami, no prasiatko nemá ani jedno, hoci pri písaní Pinky sa do prasiatok zaľúbila. Marianna Raslin je uznávanou izraelskou ilustrátorkou a animátorkou. Odjakživa milovala prasiatka a rada ich kreslí, takže ponuke ilustrovať Pinky nevedela odolať. Ak práve nevytvára obrázky nezbedných prasiatok, ilustruje iné knihy. Pre čitateľov od 7 rokov Z anglického originálu preložila Zdenka Buntová.
