Couldn't put it down. Such a great read. Characters were troubled, complex, and real. Gripping once the storyline is laid out. Must read!!!

Nesbø keeps getting better. I have read everyone of his stories especially losing the Harry Hole canon. He is the prototype of the can't put it down thriller writer. And the writing is so good! This book seemed the best I can remember with Simon being such a flawed, human and wise cop as well as Sonny such an amazing convict. Nesbø has it all with great action, elegant descriptions, wonderful characters and a fine sense of morality as well. The best!

Truly one of the best books I've ever read. Fascinating characters and a great story line. I enjoyed it thoroughly and rank it among my favorites of all time.

A Crime Thriller Masterpiece.... The characters were very complex and human that they build a powerful vibe of storytelling in this book! In addition, the twists were so unexpected and compelling!

Boy. This is one of the best stories that I have had the good fortune to read. The caricatures were memorable and well defined while the plot marched me along a road that I was more than eager to follow. My advise is make sure that you have plenty of time to read this one. I promise that you won't put it down. Awesome read this.

The Son. A wonderfully entertaining morality story with Characters who seem bigger than life. They stay in your imagination and live on even after the book is finished. Strongly recommended.

The Son. This was an outstanding book. However, I knew from the descriptions it would be very difficult to read. The characters were unforgettable and reflected the best (good) and worst (evil) of human behavior. I found myself thinking about Sonny, Simon, and the unspeakable horrors of human trafficking, addiction, greed, and corruption, leading to horrific consequences and destruction of innocent lives and families.

Awful. I love Jo Nesbo and have read all of his books. This one sucked. I read about 70 pages and still had no idea what it was about. It went all over the place with no thread to keep me interested. Just awful.
