The Pursuit of Emma by Chris Doherty. This was an exciting book to read. Mr. Doherty writes this book in the first person. I actually felt at times that I was going through this experience with him. I hope others will read this book and experience it the same way. I am sure Mr. Doherty will branch out and give us more great stories. Mrs. C Bacchi

Pursuit of Emma. A good read. I liked the way it took on the story and we are the audience. It had comedic elements that were a nice break to the drama. Enjoyable characters.

The Pursuit for Emma. I enjoyed the plot and the development of the characters. The thing I had a problem with was editing. The placement of words often made no sense, also spelling was atrocious. I was unsure if the writer was trying to write in British English or American English. I admire the openness of the author and believe he will become a very good writer as times pass.

Amazing story line.. I loved all the characters (not so much the Russians) but the book was definitely one I could not put down. I will be looking forward to reading the next very soon. You definitely have a creative talent and great imagination!

The Pursuit of Emma. I enjoyed your story from the beginning to the very end. You kept the suspense and had me guessing all the time. Very good.

The Pursuit of Emma. I was completely distracted by the typos/misspellings when I reached page 71. The main character lost all serious credibility when he proceeded to tell his friendly neighbor everything that was going on even though he knew he was being watched by some of the worst "bad guys" in supposedly the entire world.

Loved it! A great read. I am still a recent convert to ebooks and so far have only downloaded free books. Within a minute of finishing this book I had bought the sequel. Interesting that my first paid book money goes to a new author? Well I hope that Chris Doherty has a great future ahead. I loved the suddenness of the start, the way you are dropped into his world in a situation where Toms world goes from normal to upside down. The writing style was so easy to get along with that I really could not wait to see what was going to happen next. Great read. Loved it, nice twists with humor, looking forward to many more by this author

OK. Great story but very tainted by the fact that it is full of spelling mistakes!! Nothing a good proofread and edit couldn't fix.

Entertaining. To be honest I found the first part of this book quite predictable, but it grabbed me and kept me entertained. I'm not an expert on literature but I think this is a good first novel and I suspect that the author will only get better at his craft.

Best book to read on a rainy/sunny/ windy/ perfect day!. This was one of the best books I have read in a long while!! I though I had predicted the outcome of the story but many twists and turns just kept me guessing! I would highly recommend !

Fantastic!. As soon as I picked up this book, I couldn't stop reading it! Thrilling storyline, although some may find it predictable, it always keeps you guessing as you furiously turn the pages. I would definitely recommend anyone who likes crime/thriller to pick this one up and give it a read. Onto the next one for me! Thank you Chris for a fabulous first book. I hope your proof reading improves in this second book ;)

A surprise. Although it's not Jane Austen or Jeffery Deaver, this book was really well written. The story is solid, the emotions are real, there is a lick of humour, and a good understanding of grey areas in a black and white world that isn't. Good wins over evil, as long as as good has a broad definition.

The Pursuit of Emma. Great story line. You have the beginnings of a good writer, BUT your work needs much more careful proof reading. You slip from one tense to another too frequently. It makes the reading somewhat confusing. Spell check is not enough.
