Good but not great!. TJR is my new favorite writer. I love her style. I love her story telling. You can tell she put a great deal of research into the music industry to make it feel real. I would have given it 4 stars, however, my ADHD brain could NOT get behind the interview style writing. It almost gave me a headache. Others love it though! I did also just come from reading Seven Husbands which I gave 5 stars so I think this book had a lot to live up to. I also don’t LOVE how it ended. There was so much built up tension and craziness that the way it ended felt anti climatic. All in all. Would recommend to a friend. Can’t wait to compare to the show.

Wow. There are so many words to describe this absolute wonderful book but all I can come up with is just wow. Wow. I loved every second of this book.

everyone has to read this book. i am not joking when i say that this book gives me life. i was instantly hooked from the very beginning. the writing is a different format (told in a documentary style) but i absolutely loved it. there was no slow parts (because of the documentary style) and i just loved the story. the writing was beautiful and it was just such an amazing book that after you finish you just sit there for a couple of days figuring out what to read next because nothing can come close to this book. all good things from me

An Epic Rock Love Story. This book is worth the hype. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. It pays homage to the 1970’s music scene so well. The characters are complex and compelling. I could not recommend the book enough.

Couldn’t put it down. It’s incredible that a book written strictly “interview-style” can hold my attention for so long. I absolutely loved this book. Read it in one sitting! I don’t know if it’s because Almost Famous is my favorite movie, Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band, or simply that it’s a story unlike anything I’ve read before, but either way it got me HOOKED. The writing is incredible. You can tell how different each character truly is just through their words, which really paints the story. The band is so convincingly real it made me question if the Aurora album was on spotify. I would give anything to see this come to life! I have nothing bad to say about it, other than it worsened my Fleetwood Mac obsession!!!! Highly recommend

Incredible book!. I absolutely love this story. TJR blows me away with how amazing of a storyteller she is. I read this after watching the show but wish I got to read it before I watched because it was so good! 5 stars for sure.

Run of the mill. The book gets 3 stars for being a well written, flowing read. It holds your attention, absolutely. But it is so anti climatic. The ending is boring and really cliché. If you need something to just… occupy your brain for a bit without expecting much from the content emotionally, this is a good read for when you feel like that.

Great. But I wish it was more raw and real.. Good Book. I have to say that I started reading this book, because “Almost Famous” is my favorite movie ever. My number one. And I like rock and I have a podcast where I talk about rock from this times, weekly. And I also love Fleetwood Mac. So I had high expectations and this was my first book by this author. I have to say that it was not what I expected. But it was very good. I feel that the format made difficult for the author to build the characters deep enough for you to actually connect with them. I feel like some (even though I like them all), specially Wareen, who I really like, he feels a little bit like a caricature sometimes. Graham thought, got raw enough that he made me cry with him. He was my favorite and the one I felt more real. But then others were a little bit too on the surface for the complexity they were supposed to have, for example: Camila, Billy and Karen. I needed the author to get deeper inside of them to understand them better. Daisy was ok, you are able to understand the girl, she is just a bit unlikeable too often. She victimizes herself at some points too much, but you get why and she redeems herself. Her parents story is unnecessary, if the author was going to build such a difficult to believe relationship between the parents and the girl, we needed way more context, or nothing at all, or just an open note of how those two are a couple of psychopaths directly. Because there’s not another way to understand her parents. But the rest is very good, the tour feels real. I have to say that I got hooked pretty late in the book when Graham and Karen broke up, because that was the moment where the book landed for me. When it landed and felt real.

10/10. Masterpiece. I wasn’t able to put it down.

Beautifully written. I had a very hard time turning away. The formatting is wonderful, which helps create a beautiful story that you can’t help but love. Daisy Jones and the band have touched my heart and will definantly touch yours too!

It was a cool story.. Was a cool story. I felt like the characters didn’t get interesting until the last 30 pages with the whole Daisy, Billy, Camila thing. Other than that 85% of the book was kind of boring and read like a day to day of the band haha

Best book read so far in 2023. such an amazing story, plot line, and made me wanna read this book and think abt it 24/7. I loved the characters, the descriptiveness. I loved how Daisy was so carefree. It gives me Fleetwood Mac vibes, and now since i’m done with the book, i’ll be watching the show!

Sex Drugs Rock & Roll. This might be my favorite book of all time! Gave me goosebumps several times. Intensely relatable and endearing. If you were ever fascinated by that lifestyle and that genre in time or consider yourself a musician/creative in any sense this is especially for you.

Daisy Jones and the Six. As a major fan of 70’s music this was a blast to read. The author does a wonderful job of weaving all the internal love stories and still brings out rock n roll. And how do you not love Daisy.

The beginning… the middle… THE END!!!. Having general knowledge of what went on during the “Rumours” era of Fleetwood Mac provides a clear timeline of how the story will start, the drama and complicated love that will occur in the middle, and the sudden but expected ending of it all; but we, the audience, do not know the in between periods; the fights, the intimacy- that is not shared with the audience. Is any of this relevant or true to the band? No, they just provided the structure of how crazy rock n’ roll and it’s industry was in the 70’s. Taylor Jenkins Reid provided the story.

Couldn’t even finish. And I almost always finish books. So boring.

I felt like I was deep into bingeing a documentary show about the band.. Such a unique way of telling a story, I felt like I was deep into bingeing a documentary show about the band. The story felt a bit predictable and repetitive at times, but the last couple of chapters are what bring it all together to make it such a great story and what really made me love it. The twist at the end, the perfect back and forth of perspectives happening in real time that brought it all to a close leaving you full of feels. *Chefs kiss*

Great read. Love this book, the format of the story telling and ultimately the storyline. It’s and easy and compelling novel from start to finish. Would love to see it as a movie too.

Daisy Jones & The sSix. Brilliant! As the band broke through into the big time, I felt the thrill of their expectations. As Daisy and Billy mixed ambition, brooding love and great talent, I felt the magic. Without hearing a note I felt the music - heard the songs of Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane and Fleetwood Mac.

The Six. This was not your typical rock and roll story. It was a really sweet love story about the band members and their challenges with their feelings for each other.

unreadable. Kept reading hoping for the “inside “ story of what a rock band was like in the 70s and 80s…you know, sex, drugs and rock n roll. Never got there. Maybe the movie’s better.
