Suspenseful romance. The alpha male, Cayden, has trust issues. Gracie is being stalked and needs Cayden's help. There are steamy scenes, suspenseful events and true friendships themed in this short book.

Cayden is a shmexy pirate!. Gracie (from Man of the Month series) meets Cayden, partner in security firm Blackwell & Lyon. Cayden is hired to be a PI to scope out Gracie, but what happens when his mark becomes more? Gracie is a friendly sweetheart and model. She also has secrets to why she ran from LA to Austin. Read all the these two as we finally learn Gracie’s secret! Also, special mentions Noah, more Pierce, and the Fix on Sixth gang.

Too short. Too short to develop actual characters and emotional connection. The plot wasn’t good and didn’t require much writing.

Pretty Little Player. “Is there a limit to pain when you have a broken heart?” As always Kenner writes another winner. You just get lost in the words and find yourself unable to put the book down. I’ve been enjoying this series and am looking forward to the next installment Sexy Little Sinner. “All you do is run away. No, scratch that. You don’t even start the race.” I love the maturity of the characters. Yet the vulnerability they show is just as endearing. It makes them relatable even though you have celebrity careers and stalkers thrown into the mix. No matter who you are or what you do you have the same basic feelings, insecurities, struggles, hopes and dreams. “We will find him,” I say. “We will catch him. We will stop him.”

Another amazing read. I have to say I loved Cayden and Gracie. Cayden is very untrusting when it comes to relationships due to his past relationship. Cayden owns a security business with his 2 other friends (also is involved and in contact with Stark security ❤️). Gracie is a model who is being admired from afar by a creep. But in steps Cayden to save her when it becomes really scary. He also loses his head a little bit and questions the relationship. He loses Gracie. But never fear, there is a HEA. J. Kenner is a favorite author I always one click. She always involves some part of Stark in her stories (which I absolutely adore)! The plot and characters are believable and the storyline is spot on and the characters are believable people. I loved Gracie’s character because she is a “plus size” model but she carries herself with confidence. I will always recommend buying J. Kenner. She always produces a clear storyline with interesting turns. She has steamy scenes, but also real life situations. I would definitely one click this today!!!

Must read. Cayden Lyon has been away from home for 5 years serving in the military. When Camden came home and found that his wife was cheating on, him he took it hard. He was not going to put his heart through that again. Gracie Harmon is a model who’s fiancé wants to hire the security company that Cayden owns with his brother. Cayden is all for it. He hopes to save someone else from going through the pain he did. Once Cayden and Gracie meet it is hard to fight the attraction between them. But first they have to work on themselves. This is a standalone. But this is the second book in the Blackwell Lyon Series. This is a great and easy read.

Wow!! I really loved this book. Cayden, a navy seal who lost his eye but not his looks will steal your hear!! Unfortunately, his past marriage has left him believing there is no happily ever after for him. Grace, his current assignment, is a beautiful plus size model who has her own secret. Can Grace save Cayden and pull him out of the past? Amazing book!! You cannot help fall in love with these characters from the beginning. Once I started reading I could not put it down. A definite must read!!

Short, sweet & sexy. Loved Cayden & Gracie's story! And I really love their characters and what they are all about. Great novella but would have loved more time with them. Nice little twist thrown in there too! This may not be a very long read but it is certainly long on chemistry, sweetness and sexiness with some danger to spice things up tossed in the mix. When Cayden is hired to get the dirt on Gracie, it isn't long before he wants to get dirty with her. His ex-wife did quite the number on his trust though so he will not be an easy one to win over for anything long term. Gracie is a model and turns out not to be at all what Cayden expected. And I just love the unexpected.

Loved it. I loved how the entire book is from Cayden’s point of view. The emotions written into the dialogue are spot on. All the players feel like old friends but this can be read as a complete standalone. The humor, action and romance are all present that what makes this a fantastic read!

Burned by his wife, the security specialist/PI is eager to take on cases where he can expose infidelity. When he is hired to find proof that Gracie Harmon is cheating on her fiancé, everything he thinks he believes is knocked off kilter. Finding himself drawn to the curvy model, Cayden begins to realize Gracie is not the person his client painted her to be, but she could be so much more to him if he can can get past his trust issues. This suspenseful quick read is second in the Blackwell-Lyon series. Full of romance & danger, it’s an engaging story from start to finish. It can be read as a stand-alone, but I’m also really looking forward to Connor & Kerrie book next.

Enjoyable!. This was a short and easy read with likable characters, well, Gracie more than Cayden, at least at first. Gracie is just as she appears but since Cayden’s been burned, he’s not so sure. If you want something quick to read with enjoyable characters and story, you can’t go wrong with J Kenner. Can’t wait for Connor and Kerrie’s story.

I Love Cayden Lyon. "Even though I know she's some other man's girl - even though I know that she's a Vivien and not a Mona - every second with Gracie is like a bite from a warm cookie. Sweet and delicious and just a little bit bad for me. And you know what? At this point, I don't even care." I think I'm in love with Cayden Lyon. I just wanted to hug him all the way through this story. So, ladies, I know you're going to feel the same way, so I'm just staking my claim now. Back off. In fact, I'm going to go ahead and claim all the men of Blackwell-Lyon Security! Cayden Lyon has a bleak outlook on love and relationships. I mean, after coming home from deployment only to find your wife with another man, who wouldn't be a little soured? Just to prove his point, he's handled countless PI cases for clients suspecting their significant other is cheating. More often than not, they probably are. But his latest case will put his theories to the test when he has to do more than just observe from a distance or take some incriminating pictures. No, he'll have to get up close and personal with this one. He expects to find out she's just like all the others - just like Vivien. What he doesn't expect is to fall for her in the process. Is Gracie really the cheater his client has painted her to be, or is there more to his story than he's let on? When Gracie's life is threatened, will Cayden be able to protect her? He just found her - he can't lose her now. I loved this story!! My heart broke for Cayden and his jaded outlook on finding a happy ever after. As I said earlier, I just wanted to reach inside the story and hug him. But, that eye patch? Gah! So HOT! I adored Gracie! She's strong and confident, and I loved that she carried a little extra padding. Some of us do too, and it was nice to see the "average" woman depicted, and sexy too! This was a great follow up to Lovely Little Liar and I can't wait to read Connor's story next!!!

Love the characters love the plot. 4.5 Stars for Pretty Little Player Book 2 in the Blackwell Lyon Series. This may be book 2 in the series but I do believe it can certainly be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone I fell in love with these characters from the moment I met them after all what not to love about a swoon worthy pirate and if you one click this book you will see exactly what I mean !!!!! Cayden Lyon is ex military running his own security firm with his twin brother and best friend they don’t normally take on investigations but something about this case seems personal to Cayden after all his ex wife cheated on him so he understands what Thomas Peterman is feeling and he doesn’t hesitate looking into Gracie Harmon. Gracie Harmon is a beautiful plus size model and when Cayden spots her flirting with the barman in the hotel she is staying it seems she is exactly what he expected a cheating fiancée or is she...... This story has a fair few twists and turns and as this book unfolds we see things are not always as they seem, the characters have depth and are easy to love. The sizzling chemistry between Cayden and Gracie make for some seriously hot moments but it’s also the friendship and loyalty shared between all of the characters in this book that help make this a great read. I loved the reference to Stark Security and I can’t wait to see where Ms Kenner takes us with the next book in this series.

Really good. 5 Star Review Pretty Little Player (Blackwell-Lyon #2) by J Kenner This was a fast quick novella that had me engaged from the start to the finish; in fact I would have loved the story to be longer. I really loved the characters of Cayden Lyon and Gracie Harmon and the secondary characters are just as entertaining. I cannot wait for the next instalment in this series. Cayden Lyon is an ex-military man who having been cheated on by his ex-wife isn’t really looking for a relationship. When he gets a new job investigating if Gracie Harmon is cheating on Thomas Peterman he gets more than he bargained for; not all is as it seems. When Cayden manages to meet Gracie accidentally, their attraction is almost instantaneous, even though Cayden initially believes she may be cheating on Thomas. As he delves deeper into Gracie’s life he realises that Thomas has not been honest. As things spice up and danger rears it’s head, neither of them can deny the sizzling chemistry that sparks between them. Having been burned in the past, Cayden has to overcome his fears and trust in Gracie’s ability to love him and that they can have a bright future together. The question is can he? I cannot wait for the next instalment in this series.
