Iron River. This is the 3rd book (out of 6) in the Charley Hood series, and so far they are getting progressively worse. Plots are repetitive in each book, Hood comes across as a doofus who is continually out-smarted by the son of his lover from book 1 in the series, and this book is plagued by a weird little character with seemingly supernatural powers and no explained purpose. Don’t waste your time on this one (and probably not the first two, either). T. Jefferson Parker is better than this.
Too much supernatural. This the third Charlie Hood novel I’ve read. Some of it was ok , but it became pretty silly. Particularly with “ Mike” who after a devastating hit by a speeding car, survives and heals with remarkable speed. Then he starts “ knowing “ things he shouldn’t about an ATFE task force, apparently with some kind of psychic powers. None of this is ever explained, nor was there any resolution to the untraceable guns that were shipped to Mexican cartel kingpin. The book just ends. Perhaps it’s a strategy to get readers to buy the next book to find out what happens. I’ll pass
Awesome read, right from the beginning!!. This book grabbed me from the beginning and didn't let go! Amazing storyline and unbelievable twists and turns. You won't regret this book!
