Author. I read this book when I was 11. Almost 29 years later, after reading so many, many books, this is still my favorite. Thank you Mr Sheldon, you have no idea how many times Kate Blackwell played a part in my life.

Not good!. I loved any and all Sidney Sheldon with the exception of this book! It was terrible! It's a twisted story- nothing like a classic good written book- this book contains-cousins seducing each other into bed-a son fantasizing his cousin is his mom when he's xoxo. Sick book. How unfortunate for author- the story didn't need all that twisted saga.

Imaginative. The must read I didn’t expect. Thanks to my coworker Jordan suggesting this book. Sydney Sheldon explains and twists a story into a possible motion picture by allowing sentences that can be visualized with ease. Thanks and I liked almost all chapters.

Non stop thrills and frills. This book has taken me by storm from my usual business and self help books for the last 20 plus years. It amazes me how he takes you by the hand and walks you through the book. Every detail is etched in details and has a twist somewhere. Never has a book made me crack up laughing, get ready for action, tear, want to read faster and slower than this, thank you Adriana Vasquez for pointing this master piece.

Top Shelf.. An absolutely amazing book with the most mysterious and unexpected braids of the life of Jamie McGregor. This stunningly fascinating story is spanning four generations in the lives of the fictional McGregor/Blackwell family. I loved this book, it is my all time favorite and I highly recommend reading it.

Sheldon MasterPiece. My favorite characters were Ian Mcgregor (the way he went about revenge and started the Family Fortune with diamonds ) and Eve the great granddaughter (her endless hatred and greed for control of the family fortune) Let’s be honest everybody , Nobody cannot say they were not looking forward to what Eve was going to do next and the depths she would sink to, to achieve her goals . I will not say anymore for others who want to read this book . Powerful , wealthy family secrets are Mr Sheldons specialty.

Phenomenal. I loved this book. It was the first Sidney Sheldon book that I have bought and it was phenomenal. The power and manipulation is profound and thrilling! I loved it. Can't wait to read more of his stuff.

Master of the game. Best book ever written, don't forget to read the sequel; mistress of the game. This author is a genius!

Master of the game. This has been my favorite book since I was 10 years old. I have still have not found another comparable story. It is an amazing adventure I can only hope everyone can experience. A must read!

Could not put it down. One of my favs from this author!

Master of the Game. Sidney Sheldon wrote this work of fiction in very much the same style as Harold Robbins' "Carpetbaggers". It deals with the meteoric rise to wealth and fame of a young Scottish fellow who mines diamonds in Africa, and his subsequent heirs to his hard-won fortune. It is actually several books in one, spanning over 100 years, but the narrative is knitted together very well. It is very insightful as far as explaining the various political and socio-economic situations of the day, within the time-frame and context of the story. The novel itself never gets draggy or boring, and although it covers a pretty long time-frame, manages to keep the reader engaged.I am now going to read the sequel, " Mistress of the Game".
