I strongly suspect.... ... that Mr. Burke could write a 200 page novel about paint drying, or a car rusting, yet hold my attention the entire time. He is simply that good.
Typical James Burke! Great!. There’s no “what I don’t like” in this Or Any of James Burke novels. I particularly like some of his references to a war that only someone who was there could understand. His writing style really brings out various aspects of life that people can relate to. To steal the phrase , “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly “ is a fair description that I believe is the mark of a Great American writer. One thing for sure is that he’s got me Hooked!

Crusaders Cross. This is by far his best work that I have read to date!
Okay read. It was an okay read. The Robichaud series is a little formulaic, with each one reading somewhat like the previous one.
Elegant, descriptive writing. Beautiful,. Read it.
