Killing Me Softly (Previously Published as Live and Let Die) by Bianca Sloane Book Summary

"Best book I've read in a LONG time!" - Adam Croft, bestselling author of "Her Last Tomorrow."

A shocking murder. A web of deceit. A twist even Hitchcock wouldn't see coming.

It starts with a phone call – Sondra Ellis’ beautiful baby sister, Tracy, has disappeared during a jog along Chicago’s snowy lakefront. She’s even more devastated when Tracy’s mangled body is found days later, the victim of a mugging gone wrong.

A year later, Sondra continues to struggle with Tracy’s death. Her trauma deepens when she discovers a series of odd and unsettling cracks in her sister’s seemingly perfect life: puzzling messages, inexplicable meetings, and secrets and lies at every turn.

As Sondra continues to dig into the mystery of what happened to her sister, she has no idea she’s on her own collision course with life and death.

For fans of Patricia Highsmith, Mary Higgins Clark, and Alfred Hitchcock, Killing Me Softly is a page-turning psychological thriller that will keep you up long past your bedtime.

Great book. Fantastic book kept you coming back quickly to see what else the monster did. Really was surprised at the turn of events. Great job at suspense. Sandra

Killing me softly. Good read. Nana K

Foul language. You can tell a great story without the foul language… ruins

Recommendable. I loved this book. I loved the unexpected ending and how you couldn't really figure it out until the end.

Captivating & Disturbing. Captivating storyline, definitely kept my attention. There are some rather disturbing elements, especially in the way Phillip treats his wife (various forms of abuse), which may deter some from reading this book. The only thing I would change would be cleaner transitions when the story jumps to the past - some sort of chapter header would be helpful when the story shifts so the reader isn't trying to figure out what's going on. Overall, I enjoyed the read and had some difficulty putting it down.

Great book. Kept me interested the entire book.

Killing Me Softly. Great read from start to finish! Will look for more of her books. Couldn’t put this one down.

Killing Me Softly. Excellent! I really enjoyed the characters, locales, and suspense of the story but, most of all, the ease of the read. It has the uninterrupted flow that is missing from dozens of other books I have read recently on-line for free, plus a few for which I paid. Congrats! Your book is the first that did not require extensive editing. It seems other authors merely rely on spellcheck. Perhaps they expect readers to disregard any confusion from extra and/or missing words, homophones, punctuation or grammatical errors. I cannot do so. Hence, I greatly appreciate authors who care enough about their readers to utilize an intelligent human to proofread their products.

Lovely. Awesome boiygjukkj. Df

Great. All the time that Bianca put into giving so much detail doesn’t go unnoticed. The book was so well written I felt like I was watching a movie in my head Nd the words on the page were just subtitles.

It’s ok. Not the best book I ever read. Kept switching between characters and moving back and forth from past to present.

Good storyline but…. The author was obsessed with skin color adjectives and how small all the women in the story were. All of them were size 6 or less, even a size zero and she had to drill that home. I don’t understand why a woman author would make every woman character so unlike most of the real women in the world.

Wonderful and terrifying!. Couldn’t stop reading until finished! What a great thriller!

Killing Me Softly. Great Book!

Killing me softly. Best book on long time

Amazing!!!. No other word to describe this book. Absolutely riveting. I could not put it down

Not bad at all... I really felt like this book was well drawn out. It was quick paced enough to get to the point but still enough detail to paint a good picture. I did not see it coming and loved that it kept me guessing. Looking at her other books to see what else she has!

A must read! Trust me!. Wow!! Just when you think you’ve figured it out... it takes a turn! Such a good read! Probably one of the best I’ve read in a very long time!

Killing Me Softly. Suspenseful. Riveting didn't want to put it down. My first time reading this author. Will definitely look for more written by her.

Fast paced good read!. I Couldn’t put it down!

Amazing Read. New to Sloane but will definitely be searching for more of her books. This was a great read—kept me on my toes and was a complete page turner. Will be recommending this book to my friends who are fans of a good psychological thriller!

Killing Me Softly. A really good book, several twists, hard to put down.

WHAT A RIDE. Right up to the end this books keeps revealing twists and turns. Looking forward to reading others by a mystery writer Agatha Christie would applaud. Please keep them coming Ms. Sloane.

Wow!!!!!!. This book has soo many twists and turns, you would never want to put it down. Truly a phenomenal read! Kudos to you Ms Sloane!!

Good Story; Too Much Emphasis on Race. The story itself is wonderful. Page turner! But the back and forth between past happenings and current happenings is annoying. Could’ve all been done in chronological order for easier reading. Author places a LOT of emphasis on the skin color of the characters, which was also annoying and unnecessary. I won’t be reading anything else from this author.

A Good Story. I enjoyed this book. So many flashbacks made the story somewhat disjointed. Patric Phoenix AZ

Killing Me Softly. Wonderful read. I enjoyed the way the stories were intertwined yet not confusing. Grabbed me in a way I haven't been in a long time.

Twists and turns. Just when you think you have sussed the plot, everything changes and keeps you guessing. This book is amazing, loved every bit of it and was totally taken in with it. Happy reading - it's a must

Couldn't get past chapter 2. Obviously, either the writer enjoys smoking, or had just quit, as there was more description put into her outrageous smoking habit than the scenery or characters. I had to stop reading after the 8th description of how she lit and smoked her cigarette. Couldn't take any more!

Fantastic. Absolutely brilliant book from start to finish.

Crime thriller with a difference. This is story telling at its best, fast moving, excellent characters and a plot with a difference.i'm fed up with gratuitous violence, so this book was a pleasant change proving you can have lots of suspense without violence. Keep writing.

Brilliant. Took a few attempts to get into but once in the story is very gritty and catching

Brilliant. A gripping read from start to finish. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Thank you.

Great read. Real page turner!

Great. Didn't foresee the plot twist. Intriguing story.

Killing Me Softly. Oh my god!!! I never in my 67 years on this earth have read a book that talked about smoking SO MUCH. I finally had to give up. Unreadable.

Sweet little lies. Was a good read

GREAT STORY!!!. Such a diabolical "love-to-hate" villain ~ superb writing that keeps you reading to find out what happens next and if the "damsel-in-distress" makes it out in the end. I actually cringed and fymed each time I read about how Tracey was being treated and what she had to go through. Props to the author for writing such a believable story that made flipping to the next page an absolute must.

KIlling Her Softly. Intriguing story, well written and interesting conclusion. WIll definitely read any following books. Well done.

Killing her softly. After a certain chapter the pages were just blank So after the sister puts things together and goes to the place her sister used to live. There is nothing on the pages
