What a joy to read!. I remember seeing this movie when I was a girl. I had a huge crush on Captain Gregg. Although it is one of my favorite movies, I actually preferred this book. It’s very well written and the pages just fly by. Highly recommended!
Great story. Definitely worth reading. I highly recommend this book. I remember the movie so well, and have always wished for my own Captain!
Great. This was great as a movie (1947,Gene Tierney, Rex Harrison) and is very nice as a book, too. I expected it to be boring due to it being an older story, but it was surprisingly well paced.
Fantastic novel. I first watched the 1947 movie with Rex Harrison, which is wonderful. However, the novel is much better! Both Mrs. Muir and the Captain are further developed, hence their personalities are more compelling. Overall, the whole story embraces the reader in a strange yet charming atmosphere. A different and beautiful love story!
