Saved By: Angel Payne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Review by Kristie K A mental and emotional roller coaster ride, with strong characters, dark undertones, and intense sexual chemistry… Wow…what can I say about Saved…this is the first installment of the new Honor Bound series from Angel Payne. A stellar start to a new series, Saved takes the reader on an incredible journey through heartbreak, loss, anger, pain, redemption, renewal, and love. These characters are thrown into so many difficult situations, and forced to endure heartache beyond what most could handle. It will break your heart, tarnish your soul, then turn your world back on its head. A truly unique and incredible storyline, executed in a way only Ms. Payne could accomplish, Saved is one hell of an adventure. The character development is wonderful, bringing to life two very intriguing characters, each with a depth and soul that I fell in love with. An intense tale that will no doubt stick with me for a while, Saved is an incredible debut for a new series, and I cannot wait to see what comes next. Kristie K

Awesome. Loved the book and story line.

This is the first title in a series of romantic suspense novels.. Garrett, a high-ranking member of a military special forces unit, believes he lost the love of his life, Sage, when she was among a group of aid workers who were kidnapped and killed in the jungles of Thailand a year earlier. He is in the midst of grieving the loss of his beloved when Sage and her teammates are rescued and the world as he knows it is turned upside down. This is the first title in a series of romantic suspense novels. This is the first title I've read by the author but I'll definitely be checking out more. Saved. This book has a lot of ups and downs, a page turner for sure some hard to read but unfortunately these things happen in the real world. But the love between Sage and Garrett proved we could believe!

Not good. This is my first book from this author and I just can’t finish it. She suffers from word vomit and the writing style just doesn’t create realistic scenarios. One example from the book: “If a crystal ball had floated ahead of them through the brush and shown they’d be dry-humping each other through a mini psychotherapy session, he would’ve hurled the thing into the woods and told it to go back to the cheap toy store it came from.” After several chapters of garbage like this, I just had to abandon the book.

Great Start to a new series. Angel Payne is a relatively new author to me so when I saw she had a new series coming out it was the perfect opportunity to start at the beginning rather than playing catch up. The plot and the characters intrigued me and this book didn’t disappoint what a great start to a new series. Garrett and Sage both have demons and both are tested to their limits in Saved, I was captivated from the first chapter, I loved all of the characters and what can I say about the love and passion Garrett and Sage shared about from it was hot. Looking forward to the next in the series

A great start to the series. 4.5 Star Review of Saved (Honor Bound Book 1) by Angel Payne This is the first book in the series and one I really enjoyed. I have read other books from Angel Payne so I jumped at the opportunity to read this book as I have always enjoyed her writing style and the depth of characters that she writes about. Garrett Hawkins is still struggling to fight his way back from the horror of the kidnapping and subsequent death of the woman he loves, Sage Weston. Not caring whether he lives or dies, he goes through the motions as a leader of a special forces team, doing his job but not really living. Imagine his absolute shock and joy to find that on his latest mission, one of the women he has been sent in to rescue is in fact Sage and her co worker Rayna, who have been presumed dead for over a year. Both Garrett and Sage struggle to re build their lives, both having changed in so many ways due to the horrors and trauma experienced. Can these two tortured souls find their way back to each other and allow the love they shared to strengthen and subsequently re-connect? Or has the past twelve months destroyed any chance that Garrett and Sage have? I loved both Garrett and Sage and so admired not only Sage but Rayna for surviving such a harrowing and traumatic experience. Garrett is an alpha and dominant male, as are all the members of his team and it was interesting to see how both he and Sage struggle to reach a compromise as they learn to be with each other again as a couple. The secondary characters of Zeke and Rayna, along with the other members of Garrett’s team were just as interesting and I cannot wait to read their stories. There was intrigue, suspense, dominant and tender moments throughout this book and at times I truly felt I was on an emotional roller-coaster of a read.
