Prairie Tale. I enjoyed this book. It was a little hard to see Melissa as a real person with her own problems and shortcomings. I wish her the best. Thanks for all the Years of "Little House on the Prairie".

Prairie Girl. Always loved that show and characters. I always thought Melissa was the most dynamic child star ever! Her ability acting seemed so effortless, one felt like Walnut Grove really existed! Loved this book. Anyone who watched "Little House on the Prairie" is familiar with the amazing acting talent of Melissa, and she showed her leadership skills as SAG president. But it turns out that she has an additional gift of writing. Although I admit that my favorite parts were about her relationships with her co-stars - especially Michael Landon and Victor French etc. But actually, the entire book was interesting. Melissa shared frank insights about different stages of her life, in a poignant but entertaining way.. She comes across as a down-to-earth person, and considering her fame and acting prowess, that says something about her character. I see that she now has a new book coming out 5-2-22, and I look forward to that one, too!

Excellence Book. I loved this book! I couldn't put it down. Watching "Little House" when it was on, and watching it in reruns I always just assumed she was Laura. Now I see her as a real person and a good writer.

Prairie Tale.. A Good Read... This is a fascinating view into the life of one of America's most well-known former child actors. The thing that I am left with after reading Melissa Gilberts' story is that, even with the riches and benefits of celebrity, she is first a human being no different than the least known among us. "Prairie Tale" tells her story in a real way, warts and all. I give props to Ms. Gilbert for not sugar-coating the truth about her life. She has, as we all have, had many highs and lows and she is learning from each lesson. For fans of "Little House," and even more, the person behind the persona of 'Laura Ingalls,' this book is an opportunity to learn more about a life that has kept many wanting more.
