The Good Sister. The story was engrossing, however some parts were more predictable than others. It was a fine read but not going to run out and buy another book by this author. Ok. I’d give it 3.5-4 stars.

Sally Hepworth. One of my favorites!

Twisted Sister. Gripping and interestingly written. I didn’t know until the end that Rose was so calculating! Won’t spoil it for other readers. Excellent story!

Love and Mystery. This is a popular book with many reviews, so I’m not going to rehash the book. This is a great read and Sally Hepworth does an amazing job in developing believable characters you can fall in love with. Fern is a high functioning autistic, with severe sensory issues. But her honesty and way of thinking is beautiful and brilliant. I’d love to have lunch with her - not in a restaurant, of course. 😉 Rose is Fern’s sister and the complete opposite of Fern. She is Fern’s go-to person when things go wrong. And, unfortunately, things do go wrong. And the dynamics between the sisters are interesting and yet questionable. This is NOT a thriller, so set your expectations accordingly. It’s a slower burn, character led drama that explores different kinds of love, life and what is meaningful. And how two fraternal twins grow up in the same household could be so completely different. I loved it.

Unexpected Gem. I am happily shocked at how amazing this book turned out to be. It was a true page turner, for no reason would I have denied myself the joy of not reading to the end. By the time I had gotten to the end my curiosity and need to predict the endings of things had me thinking it was going to end like the movie Kindred (watch the movie and you will see what I mean). Very shocked and surprised I was wrong but now I’m wondering how it actually ends. Amazing job!

The Good Sister. A very enjoyable Sunday afternoon read for me. You won’t be disappointed.

Suspenseful and satisfying. This book kept me on my toes and had me doubting myself and everything I believed about the characters throughout the entire story. The double narrative keeps you guessing and keeps you interested, and every time you think you’ve figured it out, there’s another piece to the puzzle. I doubted the ending for a while and almost didn’t want to finish it just to spare myself the feelings, but if you push through and finish it, you’ll get the satisfaction.

Very, very good!!. I love the perspective of being inside the mind of the autistic sister! This book was funny and fast-moving and I could nooot put it down. So many twists to keep you on the edge of your seat. It feels slow at first and then WOW does it take off.

As someone with ASD, I enjoyed this book immensely. I plan on recommending it to anyone who is curious about what it’s like to navigate the world with intense sensory issue. Outstanding mystery, too!

Loved it!. A really good read … I devoured it!

Really good. The outline gives the story away to some degree, but it’s still interesting to see how it plays out. Fern is really funny and I found myself giggling on many occasions. I enjoyed this one for sure.
