Einstein Book Reviews
Einstein by Walter Isaacson Book Summary
By the author of the acclaimed bestsellers Benjamin Franklin and Steve Jobs, this is the definitive biography of Albert Einstein.
How did his mind work? What made him a genius? Isaacson’s biography shows how his scientific imagination sprang from the rebellious nature of his personality. His fascinating story is a testament to the connection between creativity and freedom.
Based on newly released personal letters of Einstein, this book explores how an imaginative, impertinent patent clerk—a struggling father in a difficult marriage who couldn’t get a teaching job or a doctorate—became the mind reader of the creator of the cosmos, the locksmith of the mysteries of the atom, and the universe. His success came from questioning conventional wisdom and marveling at mysteries that struck others as mundane. This led him to embrace a morality and politics based on respect for free minds, free spirits, and free individuals.
These traits are just as vital for this new century of globalization, in which our success will depend on our creativity, as they were for the beginning of the last century, when Einstein helped usher in the modern age.

Einstein. Excellent and so easy to read and to want more; very good reading after or before the "Steve Jobs" book...
Magnificent. Isaacson’s did an outstanding job. He took great pains to understand and clearly explain the science that surrounded Einstein’s life. I feel a better person after reading this book.
The mind of a genius. Mr. Isaacson succeeds in showing all sides of Einstein: his genius, his philosophy, his politics, his flaws, his virtues. An amazingly well documented book. I love how the principles of Einstein's physics are explained to the layman. Hard concepts such as quantum mechanics and relativity without being obscured by advanced mathematics. Excellent book, highly recommended.
Awesome!. I have no Physics understanding and never taken a class on it. With this biography I have gain at least the basic understanding while also learning of the life of a wiz. Awesome author! I love his work!!
Nationality. I really cannot understand Einstein's nationality.? Wether he was German, Jew, Swiss or American.? Or in this world with power of globalization, we don't need to have nation. We just be honest, pay tax, protect and enjoy to the place we live for one period of time.?
Delightful exploration of this brilliant scientist. Walter Isaacson delivers an intimate, close-up journey into the genius of Albert Einstein. Along the way he offers insights into the worlds of physics, math, and quantum mechanics, which only gently nudges the reader against incomprehensibility. The book is also a grand tour of the brilliant minds who shaped physics in the early 20th century, such as Lorentz, Bohr, Schrödinger, and Heisenberg. Thoroughly delightful read.
Compelling read. I found this book to be both stimulating and enjoyable!
A delightful read. Perfect for those like me who knew little more than e=mc2 about Einstein. This book introduces the reader to the life and character of one of the greats minds. The layman's explanation of the science and good historical context reminds the reader of Einstein's brilliance.

An amazing read. Simply said, I devoured this book. Nicely written, it objectively delves into Einstein's beautiful mind. Obviously, a basic comprehension of science helps the reader, but is still easily readable buy a wide audience. A definite recommendation.
Isaacson’s versatility on display. Excellent depiction of the life and times
Great book!. Honestly, I love this book. It is written in a way that makes you feel like you could have known him. Very knowledgable and informative! Highly recommended!
