The series keeps getting better!. i love when you're invested in a series, and characters that were on the periphery are brought to the forefront. Big city attorney Michael Bennett has only shown up in previous Oak Grove books at Sunday family dinner. And psychiatrist Margaret James has treated all of the Bennett siblings except Michael. We find out in the prologue that they have been having a friends with benefits relationship because neither is looking for love or attachments. A disappointment in Michael's career has him leaving the firm in a Philadelphia and moving back home. The Bennetts are thrilled to have him back in the fray, but how will Margaret feel about him wanting to explore their relationship, especially now that she's pregnant? Ms. Stopper takes the trope of the unexpected pregnancy and elevates it to new heights with the emotional depth of her writing. She crafts a beautiful love story about romantic love, and also familial love and healing the hurts of the past. As always, I've enjoyed spending time in this fictional little town, and I look forward to returning for a visit as the series continues.

One last objection. Casual lovers have much to negotiate as they learn to build a more lasting relationship. Sweet story

Loved this Story. I loved, loved, loved One Last Objection by Nancy Stopper, the fourth book in her Oak Grove series. This is the story of lawyer Michael Bennett and psychologist Dr. Maggie James. Michael moves back to Oak Grove to start his own law practice and tries to convince Maggie that they should get married after finding out she is pregnant. Maggie has a number of trust and family issues to overcome, which is interesting since she counsels people with a variety of concerns, personal and relationship-wise. This situation changes the dynamics of the friends-with-benefits relationship these two have had. It was fun seeing the changes in Maggie throughout the book; going from denial and fear to thinking she could do it all alone to seeing how normal families work out their relationships. Michael was a rock throughout this story, trying to convince Maggie that they were good for each other and together. Michael’s family stood together in support of both Maggie and Michael, if only Maggie would accept it. I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Stopper wove a wonderful story, with lots of humor, charm and smexy. She drew me in and did not let go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers and I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Michael Bennet's Story. This is a story of life not always working out exactly like you planned. Michael and Maggie are two busy professionals committed to being single friends with benefits and no time or desire for anything more. Michael left Oak Grove and moved to Philly to practice law. He has spent months working long, demanding hours expecting to make partner. Dr. Maggie James is a strong, independent woman who moved to Oak Grove to practice psychology in her own clinic. With busy schedules (and a bit of attitude from Maggie) there has been no communication between the couple for twelve weeks until they bump into each other on the streets of Oak Grove. Life for both of them has changed. I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. Nancy Stopper is a terrific writer and each book in the Oak Grove series is great.

Wow. Wow, Maggie is a jumble of emotional ups and downs. How did she ever become a psychiatrist? But Michael is not only the father of the baby she finds herself carrying, but he’s an emotional mess who turns into her rock! Love the characters.

Loved this book. This is my favorite for this series Beautiful!!! Not to happy about waiting until she was in labor to agree to get married, but oh well.... loved it !!

Love Oak Grove!!. I love visiting Oak Grove, and this was no exception. The story starts out with a friends with benefits until there is an unplanned pregnancy. Maggie thinks she can do it all by herself, she has no plans on marrying Michael. Michael has different ideas he wants it all, marriage and a new baby. Loved how Michael would not give up on Maggie but when she needed her space, he gave it to her. It was fun to see how Maggie changed through out the story. A great addition to the Oak Grove stories, can be read as a stand alone.
