So many feels! š„°ššOh my god Natasha!! ššš Not cool woman! How you going to leave us hanging like that?! Ugh this story has all the angst!! š³ my heart just kept getting broken and I cried for all the pain these two went through! š¢ So many emotions flow through this book and it really shows the damage that can happen from miscommunication or not giving people a chance to listen or speak. So many different pieces are at play in this sad and heartbreaking story but Natasha manages to turn it around for her readers and put our hearts back together in a beautiful way!! Take a chance with this southern beauty!!Southern Chance is the first book in the new āSouthernā series by Natasha Madison, itās an angsty, slightly mysterious second chance romance with a hero, Jacob McKintyre, who puts others before himself. Unfortunately, he forgot to do this for his high school girlfriend. When Kallie discovers that Jacobās friend Suzanne is pregnant, and with his child, she leaves town, unable to watch him with another woman. Eight years later, Kallie comes back, bringing her best friend with her. Theyāre hiding a secret and running into Jacob is the last thing she wants or needs in her life right now. But, their secrets are causing problems and now Kallie has to accept help from the sheriff, a.k.a Jacob. Words are spoken, tongues are lashed and at the end of all that, the love they held so dear before is the one thing that makes sense. Jacob didnāt have the chance to fight for Kallieās love eight years ago, but heās not letting her go this time. Heāll do everything in his power to keep her safe and in his arms. Wow, this was a fast-paced, heart-breaking at times, emotional story. It was tough and gritty, warm and hopeful, and filled with to the brim with full-on characters. Not just Kallie and Jacob. But, Kallieās parents, her best friend Olivia, Kallieās brother Chase. And a montage of others. This is a wonderful start to a brilliant new series and I canāt wait for the next book..Score: 5/5

A second chance is never guaranteedWhat an explosive start to the new series, both the beginning and end are phenomenal, and the perfect set up for book 2, which thankfully is coming in a month, so not a long wait. I absolutely love a second chance romance and Natasha Madison did not disappoint with this one. Childhood sweethearts ripped apart by a split second decision from Jacob, our Hero, that caused a break up of epic proportions and left Kallie, our heroine, no choice but to run away, leaving behind the love of her life.... and the baby he shares with his best friend. To save her best friend (roll on book 2) Kallie returns to her childhood home 8 years later, where she is confronted with her past as soon as she arrives in town. As much as the pair try to avoid each other, tensions finally erupt, truths are revealed, old feelings take over and this pair canāt be apart any longer. This story is an emotional rollercoaster of epic proportions, at times I felt my heart was being ripped to shreds, but as with all NM books, she managed to repair it and make it all better. Although Jacob wasnāt my favourite of Natashaās heroes, I loved the unwavering dedication between these two, and their extraordinary romance from start to finish. Even when they hated each other, there was an underlying love there. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, absolutely hated Savannah and wanted to throat punch her more than once, I canāt wait to see how Natasha is going to change my mind about her. One of my favourite characters in this book was Grady, Iāve begged Natasha for his story, and she hasnāt budged so far, but I still hold out hope. 5 Bless your heart stars ā©āā āā©.Score: 5/5
Ridiculous StoryThe frankly ridiculous story makes this a tedious read which is a shame cause the writing style is otherwise enjoyable. The characters all do stupid things which tears them all apart then they forgive each other and forget all about and live happily ever after. The End..Score: 2/5
