Great story, horrible language. I enjoyed this story so much that I reluctantly read it to the end. I really didn't care for the overload on swearing and am puzzled why a talented writer would resort to using it (weak ) when wordcraft is the goal.

Nora Roberts Land. Absolutely enjoyed this book right down to the last page! Being a Nora Roberts fan myself, the title caught my eye, but the story pulled me in. I will be reading more from this author. No doubt about that.

Amazing read. Great book...I didn't want it to end...great love story

Another great Ava Miles book. Ava Miles did it again. She has well rounded, likable characters in interesting situations. Meredith returns home temporarily to fill in at her family’s business & recover from her divorce from her cheating husband. Tanner comes to her hometown about the same time, being blackmailed by Meredith’s ex husband, his assignment being to make her fall in love with him & break her heart. The big problem is that they fall in love for real. Now throw in a crooked cop, a group dealing laced drugs, and a couple of deaths & you’ve got yourself a very dangerous problem for our new couple to investigate. Love & intrigue, a very good combination for an author to keep us reading long into the night.

LOVED. Loved it! Loved it! Suspenseful and hopeful! Long live happily ever after!

Apples to Oranges. I bought this book because the reviews compared the author to Nicholas Sparks. Comparing this author to Nicholas Sparks is like comparing apples to oranges, they're both fruit and they're both authors but that's where the similarities end. The writing was choppy, sporadic, and very hard to follow. The language was offensive and raunchy. I deleted this book after only a few chapters.

Why so many good reviews?. I don't understand why this book has so many good reviews. The story is honestly dumb...the book doesn't capture your attention and the characters are just blah. Read more than half of the book but I cannot read anymore, not going to finish it.

Nora Roberts Land. Loved,loved, loved this book! Being a huge Nora Robert's fan, this was a great read.

Nora Roberts-esque. I can do without all the "4-letter words," but the heart and soul of this story is so wonderful that I set that distraction aside and went for the ride. I'm so glad I did! I'm a huge Nora Roberts/JD Robb fan and I wanted this book to be worthy of her. It certainly was and I believe that it did justice to the genre and Ms Roberts. I have never written a review before, because I honestly didn't think my opinion would matter much to anyone. I'm taking inspiration from this heroine and bravely facing down my own insecurities. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to believe in "happily ever after."

Nora Roberts Land. I just finished the book and really enjoyed it. Romance and a bit of mystery/suspense are my favorite combination for a good story.

So Good.. I have a confession. I read too much. I love it. I have a great husband who shares my vice. Nora Roberts is still one of my favorite authors. This book does a great job of telling a good story and paying tribute to Nora. I didn't think that was possible and even thought it was weird to try. BUT this book is well done. So read and enjoy. Nora Roberts Land is not weird at all.

Wonderful journey!. I just recently got into Nora Roberts, so when I saw the name of this novel, I was drawn to it. And I'm so glad I followed my gut! Just like Mere, I have been the subject of an ex throwing a belief back into my face. I related to her continuously throughout the book, and even found myself wanting console, guide and even yell at her at times! Books like these resonate with readers because we are reflected in one character or another. We see ourselves and want to continue to read to make sure they are okay. And if you are in the midst of a similar situation, getting to the end of the book helps you see the light at the end of your own tunnel. Ava, thank you for this wonderful journey! Love your writing style and can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Nora Roberts land. The writing is okay but the characters need some work. They were not well developed and contradicted their beliefs every other page. I made it 2/3 through and realized I was hoping the main characters went their separate ways. You know you’re over a book when you skip through the sex scenes: blah, blah, blah, flowery adjectives, and people screaming “now”. Ick!

Great Story. My husband tells me I don't read enough. My problem is, when I start a book, if it's good, my curiosity takes over and I'm overcome with sense of urgency to read to the end (which means not much else gets done). Ava's story captured me from the very beginning keeping laundry and dishes at bay, I couldn't put it down. I could relate, I had my own Rick-the-Dick and have been living in Nora Roberts Land for a few years myself. It wasn't murder and blackmail that got me there, but Ava's story certainly made it more exciting! Thank you Ava. I look forward to catching up with Jillie and Brian on my next vacation.

Nora Roberts Land. This book has it all. Romance,suspense.Loved how she keeps us guessing as too who’s going to end up with whom. Love that she brings up Nora Roberts books and we all love them. If you like romance and suspense this book has both. Can’t wait to read all of your books to see how the characters play out.

Nora would be proud!. Captivating! Strong, solid romantic read. Nora would be proud. Initially, I bought this book thinking it WAS a Nora Roberts book. I am an Avid Nora Roberts fan, I read as many as her books as I can, and cross them off as I go. I must say that this book is quite literately ( play on words, not typo) captivating! Tanner is definitely an everyday Nora Roberts hero and the strife and internal battle he had to go through while the book unfolded was mesmerizing and it entranced me to read on, just at to see how things worked out for him. Mermaid, is a strong character, and is quite like the heroines in Nora's books, she is finding herself, but doesn't lose any Female empowerment along the way. I am definitely reading the next installment as soon as I am done writing this review. I look forward to keeping up with Ava Miles and reading the entire Dare valley series!

It was a gripping story. Great book. Good call to call in Nora Roberts Land. It caught my eye. Enjoyable read. Greta suspense and sweet love story.

Good escape!. The best books provide me with an escape into a good story. Worries melt away as you become involved with new (or familiar) characters faced with challenges like or unlike your own. I love discovering bits of wisdom amid the suspense, romance and humor. Nora Roberts Land was a good read and I look forward to reading more books by Ava.

Captivating story telling!. This is a great book to start your Ava Miles experience! Rich characters, griping story line and more that one at a time, she includes the people in the community making you want to find out more about them- giving you a thirst for the next book! The title of course speaks to Nora Roberts fans making this story even more realistic. If you like Nora, well you'll like Ava too. Since I've read all of Nora's books now I have another series of books to attack! I look forward to all of them!

Nicely done. I really like the book or should I say loved it! I too love reading Nora Roberts happy ever after. Well, off to read French toast now. Also men should be glad that we read romance novels or there would be a lot of frogs in the world without our kisses to make them turn into the prince.

Close to home. It's very rare for me to wright a public review, I usually stick with word of mouth on the things I've read, however this book hit very close to my heart. The week of thanksgiving my husband filed for divorce and I was the stereotypical wife who was clueless that anything had even been wrong with us. This is the first thing I have read since the bomb was dropped. I too am a huge Nora fan, but I couldn't even look at my books knowing that they held so much promise for the people inside while all the promises to me were being shattered. Reading this helped me remember why I read, and why I've always believed in love and forever with "the one". I loved the way this book made me laugh and that it allowed me to cry with out feeling guilty for being a little bit broken.

Nora Roberts Land. This book is great! It's very easy to fall in love with Ava Miles characters, she writes with such emotion. I didn't want to put the book down until I finished it.

I live in Nora Roberts Land. I grew up reading Nora and her alter ego, J.D. Robb. Roark and Eve, my lord what a combo. Even though I am way past the age for the hot romance, I still totally believe we should all have a shot at finding our hero. Enjoy this fun book and dream a little dream.

Nora Roberts Land. Like Ava Miles I am a total Nora Roberts FAN. I really enjoyed this book and loved the references to Nora Roberts books. I have read every one including all the J. D Robbs. I was not DISSAPOINTED. Ava really embraced the feeling of the books. I loved Meredith and Tanner. Now I can't wait to buy and read the other stories in the series. Thank you Ava for a lovely read.

A must read. I to am a Nora Roberts fan like Ava, this book once started can not be put down. The references to Nora Roberts create fantastic pictures in your mind along side Ava's brilliant writing you definitely are taken into Nora Roberts land.

A 5-star read for me. I started reading this with trepidation as, although I like Nora Roberts' latest books, I find her earlier ones a bit 'blah'. I became hooked immediately, the hero and heroine are believable, likeable people and still full of normal faults. Thankfully, this is not a millionaire who meets a single mother working at two jobs trying to pay off medical bills and falling desperately in love with her. As if this ever happens in real life. High tension and a great story line, and will compete with the best Nora Roberts' books. Thank you Ava Miles.

Brilliant!!!. I downloaded Nora Roberts Land when looking for a new book to read on holiday. The name attracted me to it because I only ever read N R now as I love everything I have ever read she has written. This book is fantastic and I was glued to it from start to finish and so very relieved to find it is part of a trilogy as I was truly gutted when the book came to the end. I love the similar style of writing to the amazing Nora and the story thank you Ava I'm off to read French Toast now!! I now have two authors I can read who I love......

Like visiting old friends ... I enjoyed it. What does it say about my reading habits that I knew very well each and every hero and heroine mentioned from Nora Roberts books. It was a little like meeting up with old friends while meeting a whole new group of friends. Tho book contains everything from happy to heartbreaking and sexy to soul searching all wrapped up in a story that has danger and intrigue. I was really drawn into the story and found it difficult to put the book down. Thanks Ava Miles, I really enjoyed this book.

What a read. This book was extremely inspirational. I loved it! I’ve always favoured a romance novel over any other genre, and this book only made me praise people with the ability to write out such raw emotions and overpowering love even more. I would definitely recommend reading this book if you’re in love, looking for it or even if you simply don’t believe in it. From personal experience, this book will undoubtedly make you believe In Happily Ever Afters!

Love worth fighting for. The well written plot and developed characters, combined with the fairytale backdrop of a scenic country town, hooked me into its drama from the start. This book had all the best elements of a love story, along with some honest 21st century woe and a dash of adventure. Thanks for creating such a great book Ava. A New Trend. I typically do not write reviews, I am not an overly educated person and English class was not my strong suit. That being said I love reading and cover several genres. I always come back to those tried and true fictional "people" novels that resonate with some intrinsic depth of truth. I can honestly say that I have never read "Nora" for which I plan to correct quickly. I have however absolutely fallen for Ava and hope to enjoy many more during the quiet time I steal away from my 2 boys and husband on Monday that I refer to as "Mommy Monday". Sit back and enjoy the colourful characters, rich story and of course a happily ever after ending!

THANK YOU!. I have just found a new "favourite". Thank you Ms.Miles. I tend to read the same writers like Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson and of course Nora Roberts. What Ava Miles has done is given me romance, murder, mystery and self help! I am going through a separation with pending divorce from a man I have cherished for almost 24 years because he lied and cheated and has now left me and my two teenaged children for the other side of the country to be with "her". Reading Nora Roberts Land, I felt very attached to Meredith, the heroine and some of the exact emotions that she was feeling. Upon finishing the book, I have a renewed faith that life will get better, that it was not my fault for the failure of my marriage and there is that proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel". I am looking forward to my next adventure in Dare Valley with Jill and Brian. Ava Miles may you continue giving hope and inspiration to your readers for years to come!

Unexpected. What an unexpected read this was. When I searched for Nora Roberts I never thought I would find a book with her books and characters rolled into one book. I've stayed up late the past three nights reading this book. I can't wait to read the next one in the series. It was a pleasure to read! Thank you for this unexpected gem!!!
