A dark and twisted maze awaits criminal psychologist London Noble when she falls for her patient, convicted serial killer, Grayson Pierce Sullivan. As she unravels the traps, her sanity tested with each game, she's forced to acknowledge the true evil in the world around her.
*Trigger warning: confined spaces. Serial killers.
Most certainly not the type of book I usually read. After a few chapters I thought I probably did not want to continue. But like other reviewers I felt the hook. And now it’s on to the sequel. You have been warned.
Omg!!! Amazing (Geynar G.)
*i received an ARC from author for my honest review*
“We weren't born the day we took out first breath. We were born the moment we stole it”
OMG!! Where do I start with this book, Trisha Wolfe has done it again. Born Darkly was everything and more than I expected. I could not put this book down once I stared, is such a roller coaster of emotions that I just can't put into words. The characters are flawless their chemistry unbelievable and even though they are from two different worlds deep down they are the same. This book had me all types of messed up all the twists and turns... I just can't say more without spoilers. WARNING: is dark, bloody and twisted so if you are not into stories like this then don't read. But if you are you will enjoy it till the end.
We meet London a physiologist that treats criminals/killers to asses if they can be rehabilitated and out of prison or get a lighter sentence. London is a smart woman with a past that she hides so well. due to this she has her own way of coping with things and being a psychologist is one of them. But will she be Grayson's ray of light or will the darkness consume them both.
“She is the answer to every serial killer on death row- their angel of mercy. But beneath that facade, a devil lurks”
Grayson is a killer shaped by his harsh childhood. A very smart man with no morals, cold, manipulative, calculating. A man who takes pleasure in others pain, but he is a vigilante in his eyes, not society. He is on death row and now his sessions with DR. London begin. He has plans for her, she just don't know it yet.
The pulled between this two characters is unbelievable, they try to outsmart each other and well you will learn that nothing good comes out of that.
On the first session that they have we learn that Grayson has studied her for a while and she is taken aback by this but doesn't think nothing of it. But as the time goes she learns that no one else knows her like he does! But how is that possible, they never meet, can it be that they are just the same! Word are spoken, decisions are made, plans are laid out and all this takes us on a wild ride of discovering the truth, the lies and the consequences.
This is the first book of the duet and I can't wait for the next one to come. I can't talk about this book without giving much away. Just know that is one of the best dark books I have read this year. It had me in the edge of my seat, my heart beating so fast I felt like I was living it while reading and maybe I'm messed up for enjoying every minute of it. I can't wait for the second part of this duet and know the end of Grayson and London. I'm dying to know.
5 stars for sure!!!
