Peggiggles - Save the Date
I enjoyed the underlying, sizzling chemistry between Caroline and Alex. They were relatable in the the way they spoke to each other.... arguing, questioning, explaining, forgiving, etc. I found the friendships Caroline had a refreshing addition to the story. I gave it 4 stars because Caroline’s obsession/discussion of Tiffany was sometimes too much. Otherwise a great book for a rainy day.
steph_rae - I can’t even
I had to stop. The protagonist is whiny and trite. The storyline is tired.
Ybenza - Boring
Boring and predictable

@LisaHines711 - Review: Dating 1: Save The Date
Save The Date by Monica Murphy is the first book in her brand new Dating series. A quirky heroine and a swoony hero make this story of a fake relationship very relatable. Caroline is a woman who stays true to what she believes and Alex is a man that seems to go around with blinders on until Caroline. Throw in a cheating fiancée and bridezilla, a tip to Paris and a business deal and this story keeps you captivated with the romance between these two "fake" lovers. With swoon-worthy moments that will give you "the feels" I thoroughly enjoyed this well-paced and well-written romance.

This was an excellent read. I just loved the chemistry between the characters and didn’t want the story to end.
mj_toth - Wonderfully sweet, sexy, drama-filled second chance romance
What a wonderfully sweet, sexy, drama-filled second chance romance. Caroline has found her passion in paper; she loves helping brides find the perfect ‘save the date’ and invitations for their weddings. She never dreams that her latest client will bring Alex back into her life. Alex was her first kiss when they were kids and he was her brother’s best friend. Then he disappeared. When she sees him again, those feelings she had as a 12-year-old are still there. His fiancé is a bridezilla and when Caroline has to share something she witnessed with Alex, well, his world gets flipped. Alex is stunned to see Caroline again after all these years but it’s a welcome surprise. When he finds himself in a bind for a deal he’s trying to close, he enlists Caroline to be his fake fiancé. As they travel to Paris, will they be able to keep everything platonic? Or will those old feelings win? I had fun with their journey as they reconnected and weathered the challenges that presented.
LadyJ98 - Loved the friendships and Alex and Caroline
I loved this book. I loved the way Alex and Caroline bump into each other. This book had me laughing especially his fiancée and the things she does. There’s chemistry right from the beginning between Alex and Caroline. They knew each other as kids and we’re each other’s first kiss which was sweet and cute.
They are super hot together when they head off to Paris when Alex has to go on a business deal. I did want to slap Alex once towards the end but it wasn’t too bad. I loved how Caroline meets up with her friends and they invite another to their group. Love how close she is to her friends and how they can talk to each other about anything.
I highly recommend this book. Can’t go wrong with a Monica Murphy book. She always delivers. Always captivating and entertaining. Can’t wait for the next book.
Astroyic - Charming & Sweet!
I love Monica Murphy’s style, she always pulls me in. “Save The Date” was another fantastic read, that left a smile on my face and my heart happy.
I enjoyed Caroline and Alex so much. Them reconnecting was super entertaining, charming and sweet, and had me smiling big time. I loved learning about their past history and I enjoyed the slow build of heat as everything played out. I also loved the flirty fun vibe it had going on and Caroline’s friends support and counsel through all the ups and downs. But the best part for me was their fun, flirty, witty banter and their inner dialogue. So cute and so real!
Fantastic Read! Don’t miss this great second chance romance!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
SarahG331 - Awesome read!
I received an ARC copy and here’s my honest review!
Caroline is a twenty something woman who didn’t know what to do with her life. She started working at Noteworthy and found her calling selling engaged couples their save the dates, invitations, and thank you cards.
Alex is the VP of a mega hotel company and is newly engaged. After bumping into Caroline at her best friends coffee shop he soon realizes he knows her. She is the very same Caroline that he shared his first kiss with! Shortly after realizing this, he walks into Noteworthy with his fiancée Tiffany. He doesn’t know it, but his life will soon change forever.
I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down! Caroline was very witty and charming. Alex was sweet and sometimes controlling. Their relationship was absolutely addicting and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next!
If you want a drama filled read that gives you a feel good ending, definitely pick up this book! You won’t be disappointed!
shellyburger73 - Cute book!
What a cute book! I just love Monica Murphy! I don’t think I really stopped smiling through most of the book. Caroline is independent. She works at a note/invitation store, who has a group of friends that all hang out together on a weekly basis. None of them have much luck in the love department. One morning, while in a hurry she rushes in to get her coffee and meets this good looking man who flirts with her. She doesn’t think anything more of it until about a half hour later when he sits down in front of her with his fiancée. Yup...no luck in the love department! Lol! Anyway, come to find out she knows him from her past.
Skipping ahead. These two end up reconnecting as friends. Alex needs someone to go to Paris with him. He asks Caroline. You’ll have to read the book to find out why?
A lot happens in Paris! I don’t want to giveaway any more. Such a fun, cute book! If your a Monica fan, you will not be disappointed!

To thine own self be true, - Save the Date
This one was a little charmer. I stumbled onto it and went for it. It was a great little sexy read. I loved Alex and while Caroline took a little more effort to attach to ~her droning on and on about her first kiss with Alex at age 13...it all came together. Great assortment of characters. The whiney fiance, Tiffany was perfect. She added a badass to the plot manipulating Alex into marrying her. The Paris trip was definitely the turner for me. Loved Manon. If you want a great little gem with an easy flow...treat yourself to Alex and Caroline!
Sandy Sch - captivating and colorful characters
SAVE THE DATE is the first instalment in Monica Murphy’s contemporary, adult, romance series. This is twenty-five year old, stationary salesperson Caroline Abbott, and twenty-eight year old, billionaire hotelier Alexander Wilder’s storyline.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Alex and Caroline) SAVE THE DATE follows the second chance romance (of sorts) between Caroline Abbott, and Alexander Wilder. Caroline works for a local stationary store, NOTEWORTHY, and her latest wedding client is none other than her ‘first kiss’ Alexander Wilder, her brother’s childhood friend, and the man with whom she will fall in love. Alexander seems oblivious to his fiancé ‘s actions, including the affair discovered by our story line heroine. As Alex prepares for a trip overseas, our hero is informed, by his father and company CEO he needs a ‘fake fiancé ‘ to improve his image as he negotiates the purchase of new property. With his fiancé no longer in the picture, Alex offers Caroline a trip to Paris in an effort to secure his business negotiations. What ensues is the building relationship between Alex and Caroline, and the potential fall-out as Alex struggles with the possibility of sabotage at a personal level.
The relationship between Alex and Caroline is a rekindling romance between two people who were one another’s first kiss, a first kiss where shortly afterward Alex ghosted our story line heroine. Years later Caroline will come face to face with her childhood crush only to discover Alex was engaged to someone else. The limited $ex scenes are passionate and seductive, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text but I struggled with the lack of perceived palpable sexual chemistry.
We are introduced to Alex’s former fiancé Tiffany Ratcliffe, and his father Mr.Wilder; Caroline’s boss Iris, co-worker Cassie, and best friend Stella; and French businessman Alain Descheaux and his wife Sabine, as well as their son Louis, and his wife Manon.
SAVE THE DATE is a story of family, friendship, second chances and love; a story of perception, power, and wealth. The premise is engaging and inviting; the romance is tender and suggestive; the characters are captivating and colorful. SAVE THE DATE is a energetic and spirited story of fated love.
JaymeWW - Just no...
So boring! I couldn’t even finish it. Why does this have such high ratings. Big disappointment. Glad it was free.
Kimbahhz - Absolutely loved it!
Such a fun story to read, I could not put it down!
Caroline’s light hearted narration provided so many giggles and had me swooning over Alex as soon as he appeared. Loved reading through their journey and definitely did not want this book to end!

4.5 Stars for Save The Date
Monica Murphy is a new author to me and after reading this fun entertaining story I’m struggling to understand why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now and make no mistake I will be checking out other works by this author. Save the Date is a perfect holiday read, it’s easy to pick up and fall straight into and it has the perfect mix of love, drama and swoon worthy moments. Characters with sizzling chemistry and a tale that keeps you smiling throughout as Caroline and Alex get their second chance at love and romance. The story is great, the characters adorable and the writing is wonderful. Looking forward to reading more from this very talented author.
Erin Lewis aka Maimeo's - A great read
Monica Murphy is a new author to me and after reading Save The Date I will definitely be reading her other works when time permits.
I really liked Caroline Abbott, she is someone that I could easily be friends with. Working at Noteworthy she specialises in Save The Date and wedding invitations meaning she deals with a variety of brides.
Caroline is shocked when her latest bride’s fiancee turns out to be someone Caroline once knew, Alexander Wilder.
Alex was the first boy Caroline ever kissed and has always held a special place in her heart.
After discovering his fiancee has been cheating, Alex calls the wedding off and instead embarks on a journey of self discovery with Caroline.
Alex is most certainly swoon worthy and I loved the slow burn of the relationship as it built with Caroline.
Caroline’s friends were awesome and just as quirky as her. I really loved how supportive they were.
This is a sweet, romantic, second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me. Extremely well written this story will take you on a fabulous journey that will leave you with a smile on your face.
